Brilliant tour!! Our driver Andreas was great, full of information about Romania and the places we visited, we were taken to the front of the queues at both Peles and Bran's castle and had tour guides at both sites who were both great. We were also taken to a lovely Romanian restaurant and given free time in Brasov, the tour was perfect and fitted a great deal into one day, would not hesitate to recommend!
We had a full day visiting the 2 castles and the black church in Transylvania. The tour guide Serban Rigawas was knowledgeable, informative and very keen on his job. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to visit Burcharest and find out the full history of this unexplored wonder.
We had a great time, our guide, Valentina was very good and caring. Places we went to were interesting, we had plenty of time to eat and take photos. Our small group was of 12 people, though it's not clear in advance how small are the small group. Overall we had a fun trip.
We had a great day exploring castles in Romania! During our trip to the Bran Castle we were even shown some secret rooms. I'd definitely recommend this tour for anyone short on time and wanting to see a lot!
Excellent guide! Valentina kept providing useful information and entertaining the group
Excellent way to see three attractions in one day. Our guide Andrea and driver Gabi were very co operative. The area is beautiful and Peles Castle is very grand. We really enjoyed our trip. Just wish we had more time to explore Sinaia area which appeared lovely.
The tour was just the right amount for a day. I was very tired from travel, but Valentina was a great tour guide and kept us all very interested in what was all around us. She had an excellent understanding of the culture and history. It was all so fascinating and she really made a connection with us. I loved the tour and the amount that I learned about Romania.

This tour was spectacular! The castles are absolutely worth going to see as is the opportunity for relatively comfortable and care-free travel through Transylvania and the Carpathian Mountains. Peles Castle a Germanic castle built for King Carol I is as impressive as any I've seen in Germany or Austria. The interior is well preserved and restored and the tour guide very informative. Bran Castle is less impressive, but perhaps more interesting historically as it is on the site of a much older fortress. It is also tangentially related to Bram Stoker's version of the Dracula myths, so some people might find it interesting. There certainly isn't a larger collection of Dracula-themed souvenirs than in the village surrounding it! It requires climbing several flights of stairs, but is absolutely worth seeing top to bottom.
The rest of the trip was, again, relatively comfortable. The Coach was air conditioned and the group numbering 27 stayed together pretty well. Our couple hours in Brasov were nice, including a great meal at a restaurant serving somewhat traditional Transylvanian food.
The highlight for me, for a few reasons, was our tour guide: Valentin. First, he did an amazing job keeping the group together and on time. Second, he was interesting and, quite often, funny. He had amusing and insightful commentary on the way and between stops. He was knowledgeable when we had questions and he was incredibly helpful in advising travel around Bucharest and the rest of Romania. Third, he obviously cares about customer service something we miss sometimes living in Austria. I left my mobile phone on the bus after the day was finished at 8:30pm and made it all the way back to our hotel 20 minutes away. We called him and he had not only already found the phone, but he hand-delivered to me at my hotel within a half hour. He didn't ask for a thing. He was truly amazing.
This trip is highly recommended for the sites, the comfort, and especially Valentin.
Well organised. The guide Daniel was great. Peles Castle in particular was excellent.
This is a great day out to see the countryside and some castles. Our guide was great- he was a font of knowledge. I definitely recommend this tour!
We had Serban Riga and he was brilliant - the exact balance of sightseeing and fitting so much in but having fun at a relaxed pace at the same time. As it was Easter we could not visit inside Peles but visited another palace and still saw the whole of the outside of Peles and the inside of Bran plus free time in Brasov. A really fun day out - although long, do remember there's a lot of travelling but its worth it
I loved our turgid for this tour he was fun and knowledgable and was always willing to do everything he could to make sure everyone enjoyed their day. We had a good amount of time at each castle and for free time.
Awesome day! I had limited time in Romania and wanted to see all I could, and I couldn't be happier that I took the two castles one day tour! Serban was an excellent and funny tour guide and made the whole day an amazing and unforgettable experience! 100 recommended.
The tour was a terrific experience. Peles, Bran and Brasov were beautifil. Valentin was informative and pleasant company.

Great tour! I'm glad I did it, the castles were beautiful!
Great tour guide and awesome trip. Got to see 2 beautiful castles and Brasov. Well worth the money and time. :
Serban Riga was an excellent guide. He was friendly, fun, energetic, and very knowledgeable. He was willing to spend as much or as little time as the group wanted in each location. Peleș Castle was amazing - it's probably worth getting the photo pass to take pictures of the detailed interior even if you only get to see the first floor. Bran castle is kind of anticlimactic and plain compared to Peleș, but it's still cool to see Dracula's Castle.
great tour lovely people and the pelles castle is the best around
I fell ill on the way back with an upset stomach and Alex nursed me with care, compassion, medicine, and all the stops I needed at gas stations, getting me to the door of my hotel. Tea and a good night rest did the rest.
Overall, a great experience. Our guide, Gabriel, was superb. The day after our two castles trip, our river cruise operator sponsored a Bucharest city tour. We noted that Gabriel's descriptions of buildings and monuments in Bucharest on our way out of town were far more interesting than we received on our city tour. It was a long day, perhaps longer than we expected, but this was truly a highlight of our trip to Romania. Will strongly recommend this tour to our friends who are planning to visit in the future.
The countryside is gorgeous- the only drawback to winter trip was a shortened period of light. The tour covered quite a distance, and the info was good.
A very long day but totally worth it. We went at the time when Peles castle was closed so it was a shame we couldn't go in but we got to walk around the grounds and see the outside. If you want to see it then don't go in November

Maybe a little better than really good, but it makes for a very long and tiring day... remembering that castles are on top of a mountain or steep hill for a reason. The larger and presumably nicer of the two castles at Peles was closed in preparation for some celebration, but the smaller one next door was absolutely beautiful -- it's good to be king. Then on to Bran, Dracula's castle, which was fascinating ... it's not nearly as splendiferous as Peles, a bit rougher in design and execution, but a wonderful castle nonetheless, with interesting features such as the hidden staircase, the elevator for the queen who couldn't or wouldn't walk the steep approach. The walls are several meters thick, which means it's usually colder inside than outside, so there's a fireplace in almost every room -- and the need to gather fuel constantly. Our guide, Valentin Paum, was excellent, not only on the castles' stories, but on Romanian and regional history. The last stop was the lovely small town of Broza, with time on your own for lunch at lots of places just off the center square.
My only complaint has nothing to do with the tour -- traffic in Bucharest is terrible -- and f-a-s-t. Be prepared for what I jokingly call a few near-death experiences every day... Prices are very reasonable if you stay away from the touristy hotels and restaurants. In general, the town is beautiful, much of it French-inspired, but still just a bit shabby in some areas, still not fully recovered from the Communist regime ... a lot of graffiti.
