What a wonderful class! Our host was a lot of fun, and took us through the main market while she purchased some items. The class then moved to the cooking school, where we each had our own kitchen. We cooked a number of traditional savory and sweet dishes, and enjoyed a meal at the end. We also tasted a number of Hungarian wines and liquors.
Great class! We got to tour the market and discover local specialties and then learn to cook like a Hungarian. There were 10 people in the class so we were able to get individual attention and hands on experience. It was truly a great experience!
Anna is great! She was very sweet and offers explanations for the history of the market and background for all the foods used in the cooking course. Anna showed us how to properly cook Hungarian cuisine in the Hungarian style! She is very patient and fun to spend time with and our lunch was delicious! I highly recommend this tour!

I was disappointed in Viator not the booking. Everyone else in the class paid less than us and received their cookbook, an apron, and a bottle of wine. We paid over 20.00 more each and got nothing. I use your service every time we travel and am going to rethink this procedure.
Had a lovely time with Anna cooking and chatting. The market was interesting in particular all the different pickles, one question I had Is there anythin the Hungarians do not pickle?
On to the cooking school where we made a three course meal.all of which was great. I think it was time well spent on our holiday.
This tour was everything it promised to be. Their were only three of us. The market tour was excellent. Cooking was fun, but more hard work than we expected. The meal was very tasty and our best taste of Hungarian food during our visit.
Market Tour and Cooking Class with Agnes was extremely good. Very informative and the end product Lunch was awesome.

Great experience! My husband as a bit put out that I had booked this for the two of us without consulting him, but he ended up loving it. We went to a huge covered market and picked out the ingredients and then we were taken to a class kitchen where we put together three dishes. Afterwards, we got to eat what we made. Lots of fun! The class was small just myself, my husband, and a father with his daughter, so we had a lot of attention from our instructor. Definitely recommend!
Amazing day! We started at the market where I learned about Hungarian spices, ingredients and speciality items. Then off to cooking at a local cooking school. I made Goulash Soup, Chicken Paprika, and dumpling. I learned what ingredients to purchase and have now made for guests and family to rave reviews. This is a definite must for any foodie!
This was a fantastic experience. We had never done a cooking class while on holiday yet, so we were a bit concerned that it would be awkward or disappointing. Not at all. Agi was a great, personable and helpful guide of the market - we say everything and she bought little tastes for us along the way. Then we took a taxi to the cooking school, which is a proper cooking school complete with professional kitchen with several cooktops, etc. She walked us through making Chicken Paprikash, Gulyas Soup and a cheese pastry dessert. We have been back only a week and already made Gulyas Soup - fantastic!
We had a wonderful time during our cooking class and market tour. The Market Tour was so fun, the market was beautiful and so alive. We enjoyed wandering with our guide / teacher and learning about the various foods from Hungary, talking to the vendors who were all so funny and sweet.
The cooking glass was great fun, there were only 6 of us in the class so once we got to the kitchen we started interacting more and really enjoying the whole experience.
The Hungarian recipes were fairly easy... lots of paprika but it was more about the experience than the food and we left feeling so grateful we went on this tour it was the perfect start to our vacation in Budapest.
This was a totally wonderful experience. Visiting the market with a knowledgeable guide and a purpose was fun. Cooking and learning about the Hungarian kitchen culture was exceptional. Sylvia was a delightful young woman full of talent and stories. I would highly recommend this cooking and market tour.
This was a fantastic experience. It began with our chef Gerda meeting me at the Central Market where we bought food for the class. However, in addition to buying food, she pointed out many unique Hungarian specialties and even Hungarian inventions. We then went to a beautiful kitchen where I met three others and we began to cook. This was a great hands on experience I would recommend to anyone. We laughed, drank wine and then sat down to eat our creations. What a great day. This is a MUST for anyone visiting Budapest who loves to cook.
This was Amazing!! From the moment we met our chef/culinary guide both my husband and I said it was one of the best experiences on our trip!!Our group was small6 which made it both fun and intimate. This is a souvenir we will treasure forever .Thank You Chef Parade! We highly recommend this ..Don't Miss This !!!
Totally wonderful experience, from shopping in the market to the commercial kitchen where we had a great hands on experience. Our guide/chef was warm and personable, spoke English very well and enjoyed her work. Small group of four was perfect.
Highly recommend this tour
A great way to really connect with the locals! My tour guide 'Fanni' spoke very good English, was a great chef, and was very good at answering my questions about everything having to do with Hungary. The tour of the market covered fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, pickled goods, pastries, liquors, prepared dishes, and even a brief tour of the crochets. The kitchen was great, preparing the meal was fun, and the smells and tastes left me with a smile all afternoon. I will do this again!!!
This tour was fantastic. Our guide, Aggie, not only gave us a tour of the market but purchased salami and Langos (deep fried dough with sour cream and cheese) for us to try. They were delicious! Aggie also gave us a sample of palinka (a strong alcoholic drink similar to schnapps) to drink while we cook, which made for a very fun experience. The food was soooooo good! I can't wait to cook these recipes again. What an amazing tour to do in Budapest. I highly recommend.
My instructor, Kinga, was awesome and we had such a fun day together. My "tour" was on a weekday and I happened to be the only student, so it mostly felt like Kinga and I were hanging out all day and we even went over by an hour because we were having such a good time. The recipes were delicious and I can't wait to try out those and more from the cookbook I got. So great!

Met promptly at the meeting place. Interesting and informative tour through the market place. Lovely teaching kitchen and cooked delicious [ the best I had in Hungary] Hungarian meal with the help of my charming young teacher Kinga. I definitely recommend this cooking lesson to anyone interested in cooking different foods.

The tour of the food market was quite interesting. As for the cooking class I expected to learn more cooking techniques. It was good to learn how to prepare some Hungarian receipts and learn more about paprika.
