Agnes does an amazing guided experience through Budapest showing you the city in food. She is extremely knowledgeable and lots of fun
My wife and I enjoyed this tour which was excellent value for money. We found the tour informative and the experience will remain with us for the rest of our life. Our tour guide Agnes was exceptional her knowledge of the city gave us a different prospective of Budapest. We also enjoyed the culinary delights on the way and would highly recommend this tour and guide.
Very delightful and informative tour. Our guide, Agnes, was friendly/personable/patient, very knowledgeable and passionate in her love of Budapest. Food was good and the stories behind it were great. Wonderful way to spend a day in Budapest!
We saw the reviews and decided to give it a try and so glad we did! Livia was our tour director and did a wonderful job. The tour lasted four hours and we had an easy walk experiencing many polish traditional foods and learning the history and cultural background of the foods. This was our second trip to Budapest and one of the best tours we've done!
Agnes was great!! She was charming, knowledgeable, and engaging. The tour was really fun and informative. I would strongly recommend this tour!
We got lucky to be the only persons on this small group eating tours. We got to sample foods in the market and other non tourist areas. foods from different cultures and some trending food. Andrea did a great job explaining the food as well as the history of the city and food.
Agnes was our tour guide for this trip and she was fantastic. We were very fortunate that there was only 4 of us on this tour, and we all got along great. Agnes was not only friendly and outgoing but so knowledgeable about both Hungarian cuisine and the history of Hungary. Her stories and insights were fascinating. The food on the tour was great, plenty to try including salami's, goulash, ice-cream and strudel and it was great to visit the market which we went to a few days later also. I'd definitely recommend this to anybody visiting Budapest.
We LOVED this tour!!!!! Agness is phenomenal - very personable, very knowledgeable, so willing to share her country and culture. She took time to share not only the food but the history of the country, the culture, and areas of the city that you wander on the tour. She also gave us lots of tips about what and where to buy everything from the wines to the ingredients, and what to eat and where. The selection of food sampling was wonderful - from outstanding chocolate to watching them make strudel and selecting from many varieties to sample, to great food in the Jewish Quarter. Can't say enough about the experience. She made it by far the best food tour I have had in any country. Well worth the time and the money.
Highlight of my trip to Budapest -- Agnes, my guide, was quite charming, loaded with wonderful inforamtion and she became a dear, dear friend. I will highly recommed this tour to others!
We were very fortunate to have Agnes as our guide, she was informative, professional and friendly. I highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Budapest. Learning about the local cuisine and tasting samples while walking around the city is a wonderful way to learn about the people and culture of a country. Every city I visit I look for a viator food walking tour.
This was such a lovely tour, and I highly recommend it to anyone. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, spoke great English and took us all around the city. Starting at the market hall where we samples some sausages, we visited a chocolate shop, a great retro bar, a fish bistro, and a Jewish cafe. The tour ended with some goulash and strudel. Perfect tour.

One of the best tours we took on our entire trip. Our tour guide was amazing! Our tour ended up running about an hour over, due to pouring rain and a few slow walkers. Our guide was so passionate about Budapest, we got a taste of how locals live, politics, etc. This is a combo of a food tour and a city walking tour, which totally made up for our not satisfied walking city tour we had taken the day before.

Livia was a wonderful guide. The Central Market is amazing and she was very knowledgeable about local culture and cuisine. If you're a foodie, don't miss this one,
A great way to tour the city. Starting at the city market, tasting local sausage and cheese, then sweets at a chocolate shop, fish soup and matso soup in the Jewish quarter, ending up with goulash and strudel. A wonderful experience!
Really, really enjoyed the food walking tour. It lasted longer than I expected and I had more than enough to eat - great variety of samples that gives you a good insight into the Hungarian food. My guide Agnes was extremely knowledgeable, but most importantly it was very evident that she truly cared about her job as a guide and showing tourists the local food scene. She provided so much information on my tour about the food and other historical/cultural facts. The places we went to were all so neat and quaint, nothing commercial. This tour did not feel touristy at all, it felt very personalized and Agnes was extremely pleasant. This is definitely a must do in order to get more familiarized with the area, learn about its history, and taste some great food! I will definitely do a similar tour with her on my new visit to Budapest!
A great tour our guest de livid was knowledgeable and passionate about Hungary and its cuisine. She answered all our questions and gave us ideas of where we could go to eat.
This tour was fantastic value for money! Agnes was so enthusiastic and full of interesting information on the food and culture of Hungary. I tried a huge variety of food, and very much enjoyed the time with Agnes chatting. I would definitely recommend this tour to someone visiting Budapest as it's informative and fun, and you learn so much about Hungary and its cuisine!

A fabulous tour! Agnes our guide was absolutely amazing....really one of the best weve ever had, and to date we've enjoyed very many Viator tours!. A wonderful informative tour experiencing local tastes, authentic areas, typical restaurants, breathtaking sights, magnificent landmarks, historical places and modern venues....a perfectly designed tour to familiarise oneself with the city. And Agnes went above and beyond to make it so special for us....and with only 2 of us, it turned out to be a private tour, we couldnt have wished for more. Highly recommended, do it!!
It was an excellent Tour. Our guide, she was passionate about her work and Budapest, knew the history easy to be with and the stopping points were off the beaten path. The food was awesome.
Great tour highly recommend it.
Great tour and a greater guide! My sister and I have an absolutely amazing time on the Budapest Walking Tour. We were given great insights into the history of Budapest, it's culture and it's food. We were able to sample multiple local delicacies and spend an equal amount of time taking in the sights as well as eating food.
Our guide Agnes was lovely. She made an extra effort to personalize the experience for us when she got to know our personal interests. We truly loved spending the afternoon with her!
I highly recommend this to anyone interested in eating and having a great time.
We highliy enjoyed this. Judith, although it was her first tour, gave us an experience we will never forget. Great way to get to know Budapest.
Loved this tour! Agnes was an absolutely wonderful guide. She took us to a series of delightful places and was really open about talking about her experiences food-related and otherwise living in Budapest, so we were able to get a truly unique perspective on the city and country's history. She even followed up later by emailing some further recommendations for places to check out in the city, as well as recipes for Hungarian foods we'd sampled. Highly recommended!
