What You Can Expect

Budapest Segway Sightseeing Tour

Segway tour Budapest

Explore the capital city of Hungary from behind the wheels of a Segway. Your guide will provide a 2-hour tour for a compact overview of Budapest, or a 3-hour option including additional stops at landmarks like the Hungarian Parliament Building and Buda Castle, depending on your selection at checkout.

The 2-hour Budapest Segway tour is a terrific introduction to the city and takes you past Széchenyi Istvan Square and the Chain Bridge, a beautiful structure that suspends across the Danube to connect Buda and Pest. You’ll also travel around central Pest and witness striking city architecture along the way.

The extended 3-hour option provides extra time to discover the Buda Castle District across the river. Back in Pest you’ll see the bustling Andrassy Avenue, lined with shops and restaurants, as well as the Hungarian State Opera House and the towering edifice of St. Stephen’s Basilica. The shops and attractions continue along your route through Vaci Street and Vorosmarty Square. Your tour will conclude with visits to the Danube Promenade to overlook the river, Liberty Square, the Chain Bridge and more. The evening Segway tour also includes special stops at Parliament and Margaret Island, a recreational oasis in the middle of the Danube.

You have to do this. This was the most fun ever. After a shaky start on the Segway I soon got the hang of it. We had an excellent teacher and guide in a guy called Balint. He took us all over the city and had lots of interesting historical information to impart. It's a bit breezy so wear a long-sleeved top or something appropriate unless it's baking hot. It's a really good way to get your bearings around the city and you can cover far more distance than you can on foo. Do this. Don't even think about it. I can't wait until I can get on a Segway again!!!

One of the highlights of our time in Budapest. Not only was it fun riding around the city on the Segways, the tour was very informative and interesting. Balint, our guide was very knowledgeable and provided just enough history to be informative yet not too much to become boring. We had a great time.

It was a fun and informative activity. Tamas, our guide, provided a bit of history, was great fun, and ensured that this was a safe event. It was our first experience on Segways and it turned out to be better than we expected.
