Budapest Sightseeing Tour with Parliament House Visit

Budapest Sightseeing Tour

The Hungarian Parliament Building, built between 1885 and 1902, currently boasts 691 rooms and staircases stretching for more than 12 miles (20 kilometers). Its regal exterior has become an iconic site in the city’s panorama and the interior hosts the Holy Crown of Hungary.

After being picked up from your hotel, you'll begin the tour inside the neo-Gothic architecture of the Parliament building. Your guide will lead you through the Session Room, the central staircase and the Great Vaulted Hall. You’ll have the opportunity to ask your guide questions as you travel from room to room and learn more about the country’s rich history.

After your tour of Parliament, you’ll take a load off your feet and hop back into the car, crossing over the Danube via Margaret Bridge. Your guide will drive to the Buda side of the city, where the Royal Castle sits. Here you’ll have the opportunity to admire the views from Fishermen's Bastion and see the interior of Matthias Church.

After stopping for pictures at the Citadel, you'll cross back over to Pest on the Elisabeth Bridge and drive to Heroes' Square, situated next to Budapest’s beloved City Park. Before the tour concludes at the Hotel Intercontinental, you’ll make your last stops by the Hungarian Opera House and the impressive St. Stephen's Basilica.

Excellent tour with friendly/local tour guide. The tour captures all the main tourist hotspots and is a great introduction to Buda and Pest. Citadel Citadella was definitely the highlight. This fortress made for some amazing photos looking down into Budapest. The Parliament Tour was also amazing, being able to see inside of such an amazing building.

The Parliament House was very nice. I would definitely recommend it. When I booked this one I didn't realize that it was a city sightseeing tour AND the Parliament. The day before I did the city tour with Francis and then did it again this day. It was okay though because I had Francis again and I really liked him.

This tour took us inside the Parliament which is the most beautiful structure in Budapest. The inside was equally as majestic as the outside and i highly recommend this tour.

This was fast paced tour of both walking and by bus so you see a lot of sights in a short time. The Parliament house tour is incrediable and not to be missed. Our guide was very good and had grown up during the communist era and had many interesting stories on the history of Budapest. Unfortunately the weather that day was cold and rainy so we had to move in and out to avoid the rain and wind.
