Great tour, the meeting point is fairly easy to find and there is someone outside to guide you..the cruise itself takes you past all the highlights and plenty of room on the boat to move around. The food is not al a carte but nice enough with plenty to choose from. As for the Spa this is s must do!
Apart from having to walk around the outside of the entire Szechenyi Spa to find the correct entrance for Viator clients, the experience was wonderful. Once at the correct entrance we found Viator clients had their own personal entrance where we were quickly processed and had everything explained. Then it was on to our couple of hours of pure relaxation.
Finding the meeting place for the Dinner Cruise was easy and the organisers had people outside to spot newcomers and direct them to check-in. We did have a small hiccup in that we weren't on the booked list and had to stand aside for about 5 minutes while they arranged to put us on the boat, which they were telling other people was fully booked. Once this was sorted out it all went smoothly. It was about a 10 minute walk to the boat and then we were all led on. There was some concern over how many were in the group, but the boat proved large enough to take everyone comfortably and there were ample staff to ensure prompt and polite service throughout the cruise. There was also some concern that there might not be enough food when one saw the initial stampede to the buffet tables and the quantity of food many people were piling onto their plates, but once again the concern was not realised as empty trays were replaced promptly and in the end there was food left over. The organisers no doubt have experience in catering for large numbers of excessive-eaters! Also, we were very pleased with the quality and range of food offered. It was an extremely good dinner. And, of course, the views of Budapest all lit up at night were absolutely amazing. This was the best way to spend our last night in Budapest.
I really loved this booking! The subway station lets you out right at the bath house and while it takes a moment to navigate everything, it's easy once you've gotten the hang of it. I liked the massage too. Dinner cruise was PERFECT! Great views of the city and good array of Hungarian food!
This was a great way to see both the Spa and take a dinner cruise. Food was great and the ride was worth every penny to see Budapest at night!
A fantastic day at the spa followed by a wonderful Danube cruise,i would recommend this trip to all.The Spa is such a great place to relax and unwind. The cruise gives you stunning night time views of beautiful Budapest. One small complaint is finding the cruise meeting point.More clear info needed on that as it took us ages to find what was a very small bill board down a huge street and we only found it by accident. That apart every thing else was fantastic!
The spa part was a little confusing as it's not clear which entrance to go to. Clue- there are two, one for locals and one for tourists! You want the one opposite the zoo. The spa itself was lovely but again a little confusing as you are just dumped with no instructions or where to go. Don't get excited about the 'spa gift' as it's one tiny bottle of shower gel. Still a fun experience to visit though, the outdoor baths are worth it alone!
The river cruise was the highlight of our trip to Budapest. People tried to put me off booking one by saying they are touristy and the food is bad, but really it was fantatsic. It was the best organised tour we went on- clear meeting instructions, a sign indicating the meeting point and staff to meet and guide you. The only downside was we seemed to set off a little late but I think we were waiting for late comers. They then walk the whole group around 10 mins to the river to board the boat- stay close to the guide and keep up! It's 100 worth doing the dinner cruise vs just the drinks cruise- the bottom floor of the boat was done up so pretty with fairy lights etc for the dinner, the top floor was just drinks and wasn't nearly as nice.
The food was great- buffet style including goulash, paprika chicken, pork, dumplings, cabbage etc- all very tasty. Desserts a bit lacking but oh well. The ambiance was just so romantic and lovely- the bright lights of Budapest going past while you drink champagne and listen to the wonderful live music. I just loved it and couldn't stop smiling. 100 absolutley must do when in Budapest!!
We experienced a nice time at the SPA
It was too cold to bath outside as the temperature outside was about 4 .. the indoors pools are quite sufficient and not too crowded !
The showers are without means to bring with you dry cloth . Not to convenient you have to dress up elsewhere
The Danube Cruise was a very nice experience all was as promised the food was tasty and in large amount on several tables that make the queue to be very short
The deal is very recommended !
Enjoyed the Spa experience, especially the outdoor pools. My tip would definitely be take some flip flops and towels although you can hire them there and also note that the cabins for changing are very small. I was happy to leave my belongings in there though as I felt security was good.
The river cruise was outstanding!! highly recommended. the hosts are fantastic, the live music is great and the food was absolutely delicious. So lovely to see the buildings at night. stunning.
Szchenyi spa was amazing, definitely worth going to swim in and the Danube river cruise was fantastic, saw great sights at night and even the buffet and free drink was very nice. Highly recommend
A great, relaxed place to visit with outdoor lounging areas, lounger chairs and pools.
Plenty of indoor pools with varying temperature degrees. The spa is very well run/organised. Take your own towels, swim wear and flip flops. Good to book in advance and have your own changing cubicle for the day too.
A must do while in Budapest very relaxing very big complex with ample spas, saunas and pool area. The lap pool will require you to have a cap but the two others are not a problem. could pend all day here if you want.
I would definitely recommend this trip. Spent many hours soaking in the indoor spa pools and even the outside pools were lovely and warm considering it was February! The massage was relaxing - all in all had a chill out day. In the evening sailing up and down the danube was surreal with all the magnificent buildings lit up with a group of musicians playing in the background. The buffet was excellent and had all kinds of hungarian food both sweet and savoury. I was glad we had pre-booked and all went smoothly. One of the highlights of our trip to budapest.
Very good. The baths were really good , even on a freezing day. The private entrance helped as it is quite a confusing place to navigate. The massage was ok.
Great experience. Really enjoyed our day. Would come back.
Booking with Viator was easy.
This is a great package. The Spa is a must do. Just make sure you have a towel. We had to hire one when we got there and it is handy to have thongs. The entrance is easy to find...just go around the corner from the one where everyone has to line up...and the staff explain how to get in and find your cabin.
The cruise is amazing. This was a highlight of our trip. it is really special...only too short. We would have liked it to be three hours like the one we took in Prague. The ticket office is tricky to find as it is not clearly explained on your ticket. It is at the Danube Palace which is a hotel. Find the four seasons hotel and it is next to that. Change your voucher early as there can be a big line and everyone leaves at 6.30 from there to go to the boat.
Brilliant day. No fuss. Guided assistance to see pools nd find appropriate changing areas, own private cubicle . The massage was very good indeed. The evening cruise was absolutely a perfect end to a fabulous day. The food was surprisingly good and service was excellent. This was a terrific value purchase and I have already recommended it to others. I can't speak highly enough of this tour.
the river dinner cruise is super and a must to attend if you visit Budapest. food and drink was good, dinner well organized, the most important thing is the night scene of River Danube, so so pretty, don't miss it if you stay overnight in Budapest.
the spa was an experience, it was good and fun, but the staff was very ineffective and the whole arrangement for massage was a mess, we had a group of 4 and were sent to different places and different time for the massage ! the place was so big and unorganized and no signage, we lost each other and wasted another half hour to get hold of each other : . just be prepared for the worst, then you may enjoy it
Made the process painless. We would have wasted a lot of time if we had to find our own way in this huge complex. No English signs !
it was a lovely day in the spa although it is a bit cold and the river dinner was marvelous.
the highlight of my visit to budapest
The outdoor spa was nice. Not overcrowded. I would definitely suggest securing your valuables. We had a changing room to store our clothes.I caught someone trying to steal my towel off the lounger with my belongings. Bring your own towel, flip flops and hair dryer if you can. Massage was nice. The best part was the Danube River cruise. We did this on a different day than the spa. Th meal was buffet style and the food was good. There is a strolling band which goes from table to table. Beware, dont get caught and end up giving them a tip just for talking with them. Overall a good experience.
A must for the first time visitor. A very different and memorable experience.

Where to start?
We allowed ourselves an hour for the 12-15 min trip from our hotel but unfortunately even though it was early afternoon 2pm the traffic was bad that day so it took us 35 mins. We gave the taxi driver the address and he dropped us at the private entrance he even checked with his control that it was the correct place before leaving us. I would definitely recommend the Yellow Cabs they were very good.
Once inside we were informed that our entrance was around the complete opposite side of the building. wish I'd see that April review that stated opposite the zoo. So off we trotted by this time at a fast pace as our massage was at 3pm. Found the correct entrance and there was a young person who spoke English and directed us to the Viator counter.
I agree with previous comments that the procedure wasn't clearly explained, we were taken through and our guide pointed to another young person and said she will give you the locker. That person did not speak English so explanations of how the system worked did not occur. Again wish I'd had the chance to read the more recent reviews that explained it clearly.
We were directed to the massage area arriving 10 mins prior to our booking, again no one to explain what you do, hand signals and bits of paper worked and we found out that you sit and wait and a masseur comes to collect you. Simple enough when you know what and how this is going to happen.
We both have regular massages and my experience was good but hubby said his was more a back rub he was not impressed. So again it might be luck of the draw who you get as to how good your experience is.
The spa part: We initially went inside and although busy found a place and sat and relaxed before we went through on a look around, yes there are multiple smaller spas but they were all very crowded so we ended up going outside. Great decision, yes it was busy and cold 5C but there was still room to find a spot and totally relax in the warm waters, did not feel cold at all, a good relaxing experience.
We also took our thongs Australian word for flip flops which is definitely a recommendation as the tiles are indeed VERY slippery and very cold. We also took a towel from the hotel so no hassles there.
Lounges were busy but around the opposite side near the lap pool which you need a bathing cap to use there were plenty of free lounges. All in all a good experience ONLY after we had worked things out - where to go, how lockers work etc.
Happy that we did this I enjoyed it more than my husband I think due to his massage not being that good. The four rating is only due to the lack of direction but as stated in a previous review once you have the correct facts it is much easier.
