The spa part was a little confusing as it's not clear which entrance to go to. Clue- there are two, one for locals and one for tourists! You want the one opposite the zoo. The spa itself was lovely but again a little confusing as you are just dumped with no instructions or where to go. Don't get excited about the 'spa gift' as it's one tiny bottle of shower gel. Still a fun experience to visit though, the outdoor baths are worth it alone!
The river cruise was the highlight of our trip to Budapest. People tried to put me off booking one by saying they are touristy and the food is bad, but really it was fantatsic. It was the best organised tour we went on- clear meeting instructions, a sign indicating the meeting point and staff to meet and guide you. The only downside was we seemed to set off a little late but I think we were waiting for late comers. They then walk the whole group around 10 mins to the river to board the boat- stay close to the guide and keep up! It's 100 worth doing the dinner cruise vs just the drinks cruise- the bottom floor of the boat was done up so pretty with fairy lights etc for the dinner, the top floor was just drinks and wasn't nearly as nice.
The food was great- buffet style including goulash, paprika chicken, pork, dumplings, cabbage etc- all very tasty. Desserts a bit lacking but oh well. The ambiance was just so romantic and lovely- the bright lights of Budapest going past while you drink champagne and listen to the wonderful live music. I just loved it and couldn't stop smiling. 100 absolutley must do when in Budapest!!
We experienced a nice time at the SPA
It was too cold to bath outside as the temperature outside was about 4 .. the indoors pools are quite sufficient and not too crowded !
The showers are without means to bring with you dry cloth . Not to convenient you have to dress up elsewhere
The Danube Cruise was a very nice experience all was as promised the food was tasty and in large amount on several tables that make the queue to be very short
The deal is very recommended !
Enjoyed the Spa experience, especially the outdoor pools. My tip would definitely be take some flip flops and towels although you can hire them there and also note that the cabins for changing are very small. I was happy to leave my belongings in there though as I felt security was good.
The river cruise was outstanding!! highly recommended. the hosts are fantastic, the live music is great and the food was absolutely delicious. So lovely to see the buildings at night. stunning.
Szchenyi spa was amazing, definitely worth going to swim in and the Danube river cruise was fantastic, saw great sights at night and even the buffet and free drink was very nice. Highly recommend
A great, relaxed place to visit with outdoor lounging areas, lounger chairs and pools.
Plenty of indoor pools with varying temperature degrees. The spa is very well run/organised. Take your own towels, swim wear and flip flops. Good to book in advance and have your own changing cubicle for the day too.
A must do while in Budapest very relaxing very big complex with ample spas, saunas and pool area. The lap pool will require you to have a cap but the two others are not a problem. could pend all day here if you want.
I would definitely recommend this trip. Spent many hours soaking in the indoor spa pools and even the outside pools were lovely and warm considering it was February! The massage was relaxing - all in all had a chill out day. In the evening sailing up and down the danube was surreal with all the magnificent buildings lit up with a group of musicians playing in the background. The buffet was excellent and had all kinds of hungarian food both sweet and savoury. I was glad we had pre-booked and all went smoothly. One of the highlights of our trip to budapest.
Very good. The baths were really good , even on a freezing day. The private entrance helped as it is quite a confusing place to navigate. The massage was ok.
Great experience. Really enjoyed our day. Would come back.
Booking with Viator was easy.
This is a great package. The Spa is a must do. Just make sure you have a towel. We had to hire one when we got there and it is handy to have thongs. The entrance is easy to find...just go around the corner from the one where everyone has to line up...and the staff explain how to get in and find your cabin.
The cruise is amazing. This was a highlight of our trip. it is really special...only too short. We would have liked it to be three hours like the one we took in Prague. The ticket office is tricky to find as it is not clearly explained on your ticket. It is at the Danube Palace which is a hotel. Find the four seasons hotel and it is next to that. Change your voucher early as there can be a big line and everyone leaves at 6.30 from there to go to the boat.
Brilliant day. No fuss. Guided assistance to see pools nd find appropriate changing areas, own private cubicle . The massage was very good indeed. The evening cruise was absolutely a perfect end to a fabulous day. The food was surprisingly good and service was excellent. This was a terrific value purchase and I have already recommended it to others. I can't speak highly enough of this tour.
the river dinner cruise is super and a must to attend if you visit Budapest. food and drink was good, dinner well organized, the most important thing is the night scene of River Danube, so so pretty, don't miss it if you stay overnight in Budapest.
the spa was an experience, it was good and fun, but the staff was very ineffective and the whole arrangement for massage was a mess, we had a group of 4 and were sent to different places and different time for the massage ! the place was so big and unorganized and no signage, we lost each other and wasted another half hour to get hold of each other : . just be prepared for the worst, then you may enjoy it
Made the process painless. We would have wasted a lot of time if we had to find our own way in this huge complex. No English signs !
it was a lovely day in the spa although it is a bit cold and the river dinner was marvelous.
the highlight of my visit to budapest
Worth skipping the line. Interesting experience. It was VERY crowded, so I recommend
In spite of sunny but cool temperatures Oct11th, temp of 13c we had a very enjoyable time in the baths. We used most of the different pools, both outside and inside... Large swimming pool at 27c, hot thermal at 38c, sauna, hot steam and freezing cold splash pool at 15c almost heart-stopping used after the hot sauna room.
The evening spent on the Danube river dinner cruise was very good. the Buffet had a good variety of food... the desserts went fast, so be forewarned.
We met at the Danube Palace Hotel at 1830hrs and along with 320 other guests we made the 15-20 minute walk to the boat dock at about 1915hrs late in my opinion. Needless to say, with 320 people walking through the Budapest streets, there were the usual issues.... navigating the traffic lights and street crossings... and then there is the huge bottleneck of the guests boarding the ship. We really didn't get underway until close to 2015hrs. Once underway the buffet was available and the sights along the river at night all light up are spectacular.
This is definitely a tour to take while in Budapest. You must see both the Buda and Pest sides of the city at night.... the buildings all alight are awesome. This tour combining the cruise and dinner is well worth the price... excellent value for money.
Worth visiting, many pools to try and lovely in the big main pool with many nationalities enjoying life together.
The Spa is stunning but it could use some help in the service department, confusing at best, a shame really but still I'm glad to have been. On the other hand The Danube River Dinner Cruise was fantastic, would do it again. Food, service and entertainment great, but nothing compared to the beauty of the River as the sun sets.
The massage was fantastic. The warm bath was great. The rest was like a day at the swimming pools.
The dinner cruise had good live music, the food was good. The views spectacular.
The spa was absolutley amazing but the meeting point for the dinner cruise was not listed on the form properly no street address we asked numerous locals and even taxi drivers and no one new where it was we walked for ages and missed the cruise told them we wernt happy got later cruise
Pools were enjoyable and relaxing. Very busy however and a lot of locals.
The cruise was a delight, nice food and the views were fabulous.
It's something you do it once! To tick of the bucket list.
I was disappointed with Viator, when got there I was told that my tickets were cancelled and it took that long for the girls to fix it up it wasn't funny,
This was the second incident that happened to me, at the Eiffel Tower I paid for a tour and the summit, and the tour guide told us you only got time for one? I expect better from VIATOR.
