This was excellent. I found it relaxing and the massage just took it to a new level. I have read some negative reviews about the Gellert Spa. I found the staff friendly and helpful and the place did not smell. I sometimes wonder what people expect or how THEY treat staff. I did not find it difficult to get around. It is quite large but there are notices everywhere. I would certainly go again.
Highly recommend the spa with the massage. The baths are luxurious and relaxing. It was a highlight on our trip.
Excellent day out, tried all the thermal pools, massage recommended

This was a wonderful trip to the spa. The couples massage was very good. We had a beautifully sunny day at the pool and the hot springs were relaxing. I recommend you do this spa for a less crowded crowded experience than the spa in the park. The building is beautiful. Have lunch at the Gellert as the food is good.
I really enjoyed this spa, and actually have returned to it a second time on my own. Although you need to bring everything with you towel, swim cap, knowing ahead of time makes all the difference in not having to rent everything!
The private cabin is definitely recommended, and the massage was worth every HUF! A great spa, and easy to get to.
Amazing place to relax and unwind! Go straight to the thermal pools located near the steam rooms. It's non-chlorinated and is definitely the highlight of the spa! Bring your hotel towels as you will have to rent your towels for 1000 HUF each!
You can spend anywhere from 2 hours to a whole day inside! There are icy cold pools and tubs , sauna, steam. It's all mixed so make sure to dress appropriately! Take a day ticket with cabin facility, which gives your own changing room! The showers are separate for men and women although it's open shower!
Would recommend to visit this palatial spa on your last day at Budapest during the afternoon and then head over to Gellert hill and Citadel to get sprawling night views of this beautiful city. You also have the option of heading over to Buda Castle and the fisherman's bastion roughly around 10 mins by taxi or 25 mins by walk. Skip the Finucular as it's pricey 1200 HUF/ person and the whole ride is just 3 or 4 mins. Take the bus instead.
Great vacation, great city! Great Airbnb apartment at Tamas Bauhaus at utca. FO great recommendation!
Worth every Forint! Just the thing we needed the day after our long flight from the US. We spent several hours in the hot baths, had lunch at the upstairs café, and the massage was first rate! Good value!
This was excellent. I opted to pay 15 to upgrade from the VIP massage to a 70-minute-long Royal Thermal Massage. It was so good that I may have to return to Budapest for a 3rd time just to have this experience again. The Baths are great but for me this visit was all about the 'treatment'.
Well worth every penny!!! We did a 30 minute massage and then spent the rest od the day going from pool to pool!!! We lucked out, there was a concert going on in the main hall so that's where we stayed till it was time for our massages. my only recommendation ...which I knew about..make sure you bring a swimming/ bathing cap, other wise you cannot go in the swimming pool swim lap. They were very nice but strick about this!! Great experience for my 89 yr old mother law!!!! A total blast!!
Well worth a visit. Very good value for money and an enjoyable experience. Would defiantly recommend and very impressed with Viator.
The spa is superb, the massages were magnificent and it was a very enjoyable day for my wife and I
This was one of the highlights of my entire holiday. The 30min massage was incredible and I only wish i had of paid a bit extra for the 1 hour. The hottest bath was the most enjoyable for me.
lovely and relaxing , quite a maze inside the spa and suggest grabbing map in the entrance hall. steam rooms were really good and the thermal baths especially the outside one.
What a great experience! Spent 5 hours in the various pools and really chilled out as a result. Can recommend this to anyone seeking something different. The memories will last a long time!
A must while in Budapest! Remember that bathing caps are required in the main pool.
Such an experience, beautiful indoor and outdoor facilities. Book a 30 minute massage as well and spend a few hours to benefit from the Spa.
Not an experience to be missed! It was cold and rainy outside but we had a fabulous time relaxing at the spa. The cabins were secure so no problem leaving personal items there. Be sure and take some money into the spa so you can stop for refreshments. Towels, swim caps and slippers are available for rent. One of the pools requires that all individuals wear a cap of some sort.
This spa was built for royalty and it still has not lost its grandeur. We spent a relaxing morning going to all the different thermal pools before heading upstairs for the best Swedish massage ever.
A great experience. The baths were exceptionally clean and though busy were not overcrowded. It was also nice being inside and being able to enjoy everything so much.
