What To Expect

Your morning or afternoon tour begins with pick-up from your hotel at a time of your choosing. Traveling in the comfort of a luxury Mercedes Benz vehicle and accompanied by a private guide, set out to take in the highlights of Budapest.

Admire the views along the UNESCO-listed Danube riverfront, browse the stalls at the Central Market Hall, and explore the Jewish Quarter, home to Europe’s largest Synagogue, then continue to City Park to see the historic Széchenyi Bath, the largest thermal bath in Europe. Along the way, stop to take photos of landmarks such as the National Museum, the Parliament building, Western Railway Station, Vajdahunyad Castle, and Heroes Square.

Jump out to stroll down the elegant Andrassy Avenue, home to the lavish Hungarian State Opera House, then take a peek inside the opulent St. Stephen's Basilica. Continue across the Chain Bridge to Buda for a tour of the medieval castle and follow your guide around Trinity Square, Fisherman’s Bastion, and Matyas church. After snapping photos of the grand Buda Castle, which dates from the 13th century, head to Gellért Hill for an unbeatable panoramic view of the city and the Danube River.

A Incredible Experience

Zoltan was excellent. He was extremely informative and very pleasant to be around. He tailored the tour to places we really wanted to see and wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

Our driver/guide picked us up in a very clean and comfortable Mercedes. Zoltan was very accommodating in terms of which sites we wanted to see or skip. We first drove around the Pest side and were able to get out of the car and walk around certain sites - keep in mind this is dependent on parking and some sites require paid admission which is not included in the tour. After we crossed the river to the Buda side, we saw ruins of a Roman amphitheater as well as the beautiful castle district. At the end of the tour Zoltan gave us suggestions of places to revisit and asked where we wanted to be dropped off. It was a great start to our stay in Budapest and would definitely recommend.

Questionable value for money.

Super comfortable way to get around. However for the money, we only got to see the inside of one church. Buda castle doesn’t exist as such, most things are closed on Sunday and Monday. So in effect you pay to get driven around and learn some history. The tour guide Denise was amazing, knowledgable and friendly as was the driver. Value for money, I would do this kind of tour on my own as it’s expensive for the little you actually get to experience.

Christine and Michael were beyond exceptional! We were traveling with a fussy baby and they were so flexible and patient allowing modifications to the tour. Christine was very knowledgeable about with city, country, world history so we were able to learn so much from her. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a private tour in a very nice, safe luxury Mercedes van. We were sad when the tour was over because we had so much fun!
