What You Can Expect

Private Tour: Budapest City Segway Tour

Take a tour of Budapest by Segway

Your tour will begin in central Budapest with a brief run-down on maneuvering your electric Segway. Feel free to note any particular neighborhoods or attractions you don’t want to miss, and your private guide will incorporate your interests into the tour route. (Please keep your requests limited to spots accessible by Segway.)

Then you’re off! Enjoy commentary from your guide as you begin to cruise the bustling alleys and streets of Pest. Admire the architecture as you go, and hear facts and anecdotes about the city’s rich history and culture.

You’ll glide past the famous Andrassy Avenue, with a look at the Hungarian State Opera House along the way. Then head past the Great Synagogue and along the Danube Promenade. Here you’ll have a terrific view of the river and the Buda Castle, a World Heritage site, sitting on the opposite side. You’ll also see the historic Chain Bridge and then come up to the towering, riverfront Parliament. From there, cruise to see the bright yellow Margaret Bridge, which brings locals and visitors alike to the oasis of Margaret Island, a recreational spot set in the middle of the Danube.

Then return to the center of Pest, toward St. Stephen’s Basilica, a popular spot for classical concerts. Next, you’ll travel to City Park and see the renowned Heroes’ Square. Hear from your guide how the iconic statues pay homage to Hungary’s Magyar kings.

Your tour will then conclude back at its original departure point in the center of the city. Please note that the route of the itinerary may be adjusted depending on your travel date.
