Budapest locals are just welcoming... city is full of history and excitement
We really enjoyed this tour. We had a fantastic guide Tamas !
Definitely book this tour, it is great and you have a lot of flexibility. Our tour guide was Frank who met us promptly at our hotel in the Opera district. Frank showed us a map and gave us an overview of our itinerary. We walked past Saint Stephens Basilica and to the Chain bridge at which point we decided to catch the bus to the top of the Buda hill. From there Frank gave us an awesome tour of all the sites including Fishermans Bastion, Matthias Church, Hilton and the Castle, Frank is extremely knowledgeable and we learnt a lot. My wife and I also really enjoyed Franks humor and the great general conversation we had about Budapest. At the end of the tour, Frank gave us a bunch of awesome tips about what else to see and do in Budapest.
This tour was amazing. Victoria was very professional and showed us/talked about extra things that no other tourists would have seen or heard about without a guide. Very interesting. Would highly recommend!
What a way to start our stay, approx. 3 hours after arrival in Hungary we were being immersed in culture and history. Greeted at out hotel by the wonderful Anita we embarked on an educational excellent walking tour. Anita was attentive and informative we used her recommendations over the course of our short stay. You want the best out off a city break and are interested in culture and history you have to do guided tours. Thank You.
Great private tour guide love her knowledge, experience and sense of humor! I loved her step by step history of Hungary! We walked and talked all throughout Budapest! She made us feel comfortable asking questions and touring the grand palace! We will definitely rate her guid a big A
Our Young guide Tomas was knowledgeable, entertaining and led us along a lovely walk of the Buda Castle district !
Brilliant, highly recommended. Viki was full of information and answered all the questions of my 14 year son. So much better than just wandering around on your own. Will do it again when I visit another city
Our guide Tamas was excellent. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and engaging when explaining the history and sites visited. A very worthwhile experience of having your own personal guide.
Frank our guide was so knowledgable and informative. A super tour and a real insight into Budapest's history and culture. The walk was not too long but not a stroll either. Well structured with a lovely coffee stop halfway. I thoroughly recommend the tour and came away charmed and enlightened by the experience.
Great guide with lots of knowledge about the history. Fun to walk around it felt like a short tour filled with information. She was interested and knowledgable.
Szolt was a fantastic tour guide. He met us at our apartment in the city and we took a bus to the Buda side of the city. Once up on Castle Hill, Szolt taught us the history and meaning of the things we were seeing. No longer were they just magnificent sites and buildings, he made them come alive with his knowledge and expertise of the city. It was a 3 hour walking tour, but that included the bus ride, a stop at a cafe for coffee and a sweet included in price. So not 3 hrs of constant walking. He took us into the Matthias Church which was amazing. We concluded the tour at the castle and my husband and I rode the Funicular down the hill and walked home across the Chain Bridge. A lovely day!!
Brigit helped me get oriented to Budapest, was knowledgeable and articulate. I saw too much to relate here, but this is a wonderful way to start your visit to Budapest.
Very friendly and informative guide. Answered all of our questions and super helpful. Thanks very much!

Fantastic tour. Ana, our guide, was a treat and went out of her way to make sure we got as much as possible out of our tour.
There is a lot to see in Budapest, and if you have limited time here as we did, we found this to be a very good walking tour to give us enough information without being overwhelming. Anita, our guide, also gave us some tips of things to see and places to eat afterwards which were much appreciated.
