Our tour guide, Nora, was fantastic and organized. We sampled different Hungarian wine Unicum, Palinka, red, white and beer. We tasted different Hungarian sausages, Goulash, cheese, cookies and coffee during the tour. We started around March 15 Square, visited the Main Market Hall, Jewish/Ruin District, Inner City and finished the tour at the train station and the most elegant McDonald in the world. Nora was very knowledgeable with Hungarian history. Our tour mates from Netherlands made the tour extra fun. I definitely recommend this 4 hour tour to anyone visiting Budapest. It was the highlight of our vacation.
Nora has crafted an incredible tour, taking visitors to places we'd never find on our own, and introducing us to the flavors of Hungary with a dose of history and context that makes the experience even better.
The tour was a highlight of our trip to Budapest. Nora took us to a lot of great local places and regaled us with history and food stories to help us appreciate this awesome city. We loved it and would recommend this tour to everyone.
The highlight of our holiday in Budapest. We saw parts of the city off the normal tourism trail, experienced some great food and had some wonderful insights. Highly recommended.
Absolutely a must when visiting Pest.Informative, delicious
and very interesting.I hear that this tour will soon do wine tours
which we look forward to attending on a future visit to Budapest.
Excellent tour. Nora is very personable, and very attentive to her guest's needs. I would highly recommend this food tour as Nora is very knowledgeable of the history of Budapest as well as the food.
Excellent. will recommend. The tour was set up very nicely and we did sample so many things. We also saw more of the city than if we had gone to a restaurant. The background on the areas we visited was also interesting.
Really enjoyed the tour, Nora was awesome, took us to some great places. It was especially great since we had a tight schedule and she accommodated us. Highly recommend it, especially with Nora.
Nora was a very knowledgeable guide, providing insights into the culinary and food production history of Hungary. She deliberately kept away from the main tourist areas, preferring to take us to smaller, more authentic Hungarian food establishments sampling the liqueurs, Unicom and Palinka, traditional foods such as goulash, langos, sour cream and cottage cheese pasta, served with a glass of Bull's Blood red wine - a big, red in the mould of some of the Australian reds. Then on to the place where they make a variety of home made biscuits and lemonade. Last stop was coffee close to the railway station - where they serve up types of coffee from all around the world. We really liked the small group and the historical and cultural pointers given by Nora along the way, all in very good English.
