Overnight at a 4* Hotel in Iguazu (YVY Hotel de la Selva or similar)
Full Day Tour Argentinean Side of Falls
Walk the paths and bridges of the splendid Iguazú National Park and be amazed by the surrounding virgin lush vegetation and its amazing flora and fauna. Take a bath at the falls while trekking the upper and lower walks. Enjoy a ride on the ecological train and walk along a path that takes you to the imposing Devil’s Throat canyon.
There is no doubt that the site is absolutely spectacular and deserved to be seen. Acknowledging that the logistics to organize the tour is complex and deserve attention - with a good result -, we feel that it was the only focus of our guide. The site would be even a lot more appreciated if information were provided. On all parts of the site, very well trailed, we were largely left on our own. Our guide did not even provide much contextual information during the bus rides. We knew from the Viator description that there was an optional part but its content was not described - then it came as a surprise what it was (a boat ride at the bottom of the falls, with a 4x4 through jungle ride) and its price - we could not take it without this information beforehand. The spectacular scenery and the nice hotel (Yvy La Selva), despite the doubtful cleanliness of the pool, left us with a good appreciation of the tour, overall.
The 3 day trip is very well put together. Airline Aerolineas was on time and our required transfer was waiting to transfer us to our Hotel, which was situated in the National Park. The YVY Hotel was well appointed, but be aware that it is situated in the park and there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance. The menu is not extensive, but the food was good. The organised tours were well prepared and the transport in air conditioned vehicles. All guides were well versed and our only complaint was on the 2nd day, we were two of only 5 English speaking travellers and the other 24 were Spanish speaking. The guide seemed to provide a lot more information in Spanish. It didn’t present a huge problem, but was rather annoying at times. All in all the trip was excellent and the scenery on both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides was speculated.
