Howard gave us a very good overview of the city and made suggestions as to where to go when we stayed in the city
He also took us to a very cool non tourist trap restaurant for a very tasty lunch,
This tour was so much better then being herded on a bus with 60 other tourists! Highly recommend

John Boyle, punctual pick up, knowledgeable, flexible, patient, pleasant, a true gentleman with a good sense of humour. John is bi-lingual, English is his first language and he speaks fluent Spanish. The value of a private tour is the personal touch, flexibility of itinerary and you have the undivided attention of the tour guide. We had John and he is FABULOUS!!! We visited the memorial to honour the victims of state terrorism in Argentina's recent history 1974-1983. It is a haunting and humbling experience. Everyone who visits Buenos Aires should visit the memorial. Recoleta Cemetery was an interesting place. Don't just enter, turn left and take a selfie at Eva Peron's mausoleum, there is so much more to this unique cemetery but you need to visit with someone who knows the history of some of the families and personalities - go with John! Nearby is a well known cafe La Biela where we enjoyed the best cup of tea of our month in North and South America, served in a tea pot. The cafe is trendy and attracts politicians, celebrities and people who want to be seen. We just wanted a cuppa. We saw lots of sites around central Buenos Aires, Plaza de Mayo, central parks with monuments, the memorial to the fallen at the Falkland Islands, the once tallest building in South America built as an act of vengeance by a woman scorned. John will fill you in on the details. A visit to La Boca is worthwhile. It is a derelict part of town where there has been an effort by some locals to draw in tourists by painting the buildings bright colours and offering cafes with live tango dancers and a variety of stores. We ate empanadas and watched a tango show. My travelling companion and I are middle aged women and do things at our own pace. John was extremely accommodating, didn't rush us, answered loads of questions and although we saw and did a lot in a short period of time, we felt relaxed and were able to get a feel for the places we visited. We enjoyed the tour so much we booked John to go to the Tigre Delta. Book a private tour with John, it is worth it!

The fact that this tour actually took place was the first amazing fact. Our ship was a day late in arriving in Buenos Aires. Our original guide, John, was not able to meet us. He arranged for a colleague, Gus, to pick us up. Gus was very personable and we enjoyed him. However, John wanted us to have the best experience so he paired Gus with another guide, Howard. We had our private tour, but we got the experience of two guides. We enjoyed the Rose Garden, a beautiful oasis in the city. We then visited Recoleta and the Relocate Cemetery. The Cemetery is unique and the guides showed us the highlights. Without them, we would have just wandered and wondered. The most memorable part of the trip was the stop at the Parque de la Memoria. The guides introduced us to this dark time in Argentine history and helped it come to life for us. We felt this tour did a great job of introducing us to Buenos Aires.

We booked this tour our first full day in Buenos Aires, to give us a good overview of the city -- and it ended up being one of our best days on our visit. Howard was our tour guide, and he wasn't good...he was great! We toured many major attractions -- just as the tour description promised -- but he also tailored our tour to what we were interested in. Highlights include the park dedicated to the Dirty War, as well as the Recoleta Cemetery. Howard was knowledgeable and funny, and included our son in the experiences as well. Very highly recommended!

Our driver was great. He took us around Buenos Aires, visited Eve Peron Grave also so the balcony which she stood. The traffic was heavy because of a subway strike but our driver handled the mess which we did not feel scared. I would recommend this tour.

Excellent tour. John Boyle was terrific. Showed us the highlights of BA and included a history lesson of Argentina's past 50 years. The 4 of us were impressed at the knowledge and aghast at the history which we knew little about. Buenos Aires now has its own wall, similar to the Vietnam Wall in DC. acknowledging those that died during Argentina's dictatorships of the past 50 years - something the 4 of us knew little about. John drove us around the city it was a Sunday, so some things were closed but we felt we got a good tour by an excellent guide. Highly recommended.

We spent the afternoon with John and it was exactly what we wanted. He met us at our hotel and took us around the city in a private vehicle. He is from England, now living in BA so no language barrier for us. Although it was a rainy and cold day, we were able to get to all the sites that we wanted to see. John knows the history of Buenos Aires and taught us so much during the tour. We highly recommend this private tour to those who have only a short time to see a big city! John was so nice and even gave us tips for places to eat dinner that night.

John was unavailable so we spent the day with Howard instead. What a treat! He knows this city in and out, and his wealth of knowledge helped us immensely. He's was friendly, funny, and showed us everything a dirt time visitor would want or need to see. He had a clean and comfortable car and drove it well. Here's the best recommendation I can give if my mother were to visit BA alone I'd happily place her in Howard's care.

Thanks to Mr. John Boyle who hosted this private tour of Buenos Aires. If you do not have a whole day staying Buenos Aires, I strongly recommended this private tour to see the essentials of beautiful Buenos Aires and learn the history of Argentina from Mr. John.

We enjoyed our first view of Buenos Aires with Dushan. He accommodated our requests and also gave us advise about spending the rest of our day in the city. As a result of his effort and knowledge,we were able to spend the last three days happily and comfortably.

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Buenos Aires and I highly recommend it. It is great to have a private tour and be able to view the city with someone who lives there. John Boyle was our tour guide and he was outstanding. He was knowledgeable about the city and showed us the best highlights. He was also flexible in changing the itinerary so that we could follow our own interests. We stopped for lunch and saw live tango in the plaza along with all the other sites. Book this tour and you will be very satisfied with it.

John was great and I definitely recommend this tour. Whilst he had a plan we had a lot of flexibility to adapt it to suit. Gave us a great orientation of the city and the key sights. John was very friendly and knew what he was talking about.
