We researched several tango shows in Buenos Aires and chose this one because of the included tango lesson. Also, it sounded like a smaller venue than some of the others. The space accommodates around 100 people, so everyone has a good view of the stage. And the performers come down from the stage and mingle with the audience. As others mentioned, the space for the lesson is very tight, so don't expect a ballroom but it still was fun. The steak dinner was one of the best we had in Argentina, not what we expected in a group setting.
Great fun! I can now tango with the best of them! It is a very basic tango but it counts because I have a certificate. The show was totally in Spanish so I had no idea for sure what was going on but I think I followed the story pretty well. The food was good, a 3 course meal.
Fabulous night. Pick up on time. Food quite good for mass production. Small intimate venue was what made it better than most. Even fell for the cheesy picture with 2 of the dancers as it was such fun.Felt very safe the whole time.
A great way to learn one of the most famous cultural experinces of Argentina. One fabulous night!

So many choices for Tango shows but we are thrilled we did this one - We also did Tango Porteno one night - these 2 shows are completely different but each enjoyable- the show mentioned here Complejo Tango is in a very nice intimate setting where every table is almost right up to the stage. They could not have been more accommodating - contacting me ahead of time to arrange free hotel pickup- we did the tango lesson for 1 hour that a lot of fun. Many young couples were there -we were a little older 60 than most but the teacher was great and I really felt like we had the basic steps down at the end - I definitely recommend the dance lesson. The dinner choices were meat / fish or pasta and it was well made and prepared. The show is over an hour and the dancers were right next to us - excellent stories on the history of the tango and the enthusiasm of the dancers was obvious. They put on a fine show and we were very satisfied by the experience of the tango lesson- dinner and show ! The other shows like Tango Porteno are in a large auditorium and although similarly enjoyable you can be far from the stage. In Complejo Tango you are right on top of the stage and the dancers actually come right to your table - many photo ops and chances to interact with the dancers -
The lesson was a lot of fun. The show was of a very high standard and made even better by the very intimate setting. Dinner was good. Overall excellent package.
This was a must do when in Buenos Aires! The lessons were great fun and the show was spectacular! The food was incredibly good! I would highly recommend this show!!
Amazing experience.....husband and I had such fun. Only drawback was the hotel pickup was 40 minutes later than they had verbalized it would be....got nervous we were forgotten. Once picked up, tango lesson was such fun....met such great people, dinner excellent, show amazing. Open bar melbec wine our recommendation. I had chicken, spouse enjoyed the steak....just such a wonderful evening. Tango house itself very pretty with stained glass, rich looking Wood...flight of stairs to get in, just so people know.
Hotel pick up was prompt and efficient tango lesson was fun for us as we were a couple, lots of singles just opted to sit out as there was only one instructor and no potential partners an improvement might be to have three or four trained tango partners to help teach/dance with some of the singles the lesson was quite crowded and hard to practice in a small space without bumping into others the dinner was reasonable my husbands steak was a B and my fish was about a C the tango show was quite good.
this was a lot of fun. the instructor was good. i enjoyed the food a lot. the tango show was really good. they pulled me up on stage.
my only suggestion is that they should have a specific class size and make sure the ration of male to female is 1 to 1. there were more women than men and the room was too full.
Really good dinner/tango show - great food too. Pick-up was very prompt but our return was marred by the minibus driver dropping us round the corner from the wrong hotel Reconquista Garden instead of Reconquista Plaza. We had no idea where we were and had no map - on asking directions we had to walk about 4 blocks. Otherwise a lovely evening.
A very enjoyable evening. We started with the tango class, then had dinner and enjoyed the show--definitely a great price for the whole package, and nice, intimate venue. The show actually starts quite late, around 10 pm, so if you prefer to spend more of your time enjoying the city or picking out a place to eat yourself, I recommend doing the show-only option and arriving closer to 930. We liked the class, and Julio was a great teacher, it was just a bit crowded, and with the timing, the evening can be a bit drawn out leaving at 7 from our hotel, staying out until almost midnight.
There were good food options, though nothing to rave about, and the service and unlimited wine/beer/water/soft drinks were great. The dancing is excellent. If you are looking for a show with a lot of history and narration, or more explanation of tango and its music, you might look elsewhere, but this is just pure, quality dancing, interspersed with some singing. It is a smaller venue than others like Senor Tango, so you will be close to the stage and get to appreciate everything and interact with the dancers much more. If you only have a night in BA, check this place out.
Tango show was good. Organization not so much. Dinner only so so but the wine was very good and they kept it coming. Everyone was not served dinner at the same time and that included people at the same table. Half way through dinner they had us go into another room for our tango lesson. It was completely fill. The instructor did a good job considering how many people were in the room. We then went back to our seats to finish our dinner.
Skip the food and go for the tango. The reason I gave this venue 2 stars is because the food and the service were terrible.
This was a very nice tour. We spent a lot of time on the van, as we were the first pick up going and the last on the return. There were many stairs to climb, to get to the dance studio and an additional flight to the restaurant. The restrooms were on the level of the dance studio, so there were several trips up and down which isn't good for anyone with mobility problems. The tango lesson was fun, but the room wasn't air conditioned and very hot. On a second floor with little windows. The entertainment and the food was good.
