Cradle mountain is awesome. Tour operator is horrible. Van with no AC or audio. Late upon leaving port, early arriving back. Description of tour doesn’t match actual. Save your money.
icon Response from Host , Mar 2020
All of our vehicles are equipped with a/c and audio. We do on occasion, when we do not have enough bookings to make it worthwhile to travel all the way to Burnie from Hobart, pass our bookings onto a colleague based in Burnie, who runs the same tour, to avoid inconvenience to the customer. As we have no way of identifying this customer, we can only presume that he went with the other operator. In future, we will cancel the booking and leave the customer to make their own arrangements.

Thank you so much, te Driver/Guide was fantastic (Barry) loved the day trip, saw so much and it didn’t feel rushed. Great wildlife experience and spectacular scenery. So glad I booked.

Trip not well designed

It was difficult to understand the comments of the driver. The timetible was too tight and we suffered a lot to arrive in time. Additionally, some stops were not necessary in our opinión as the place was not really interesting

Disappointing
IstanbulTraveler2010

I was led to believe that after a 1.25-1.5 hour drive to Cradle Mountain that we would have approximately 2 hours to walk around Dove Lake, take some trails, etc. before turning back. Instead, we were given approximately 30 minutes only. While the tour guide tried to fix things to a degree with some commentary, it was a very disappointing experience. Don't waste your money on this excursion.

Beautiful drive through the Tasmanian countryside. We were able to hike around the lake area upon arrival. The Cradle Mountains themselves are beautiful. We stopped to have lunch on the return in a very lovely little town. We took this trip from a cruise ship and the tour guide did an excellent job at getting us back on time.

The tour operator was Tours around Tasmania - go with them if you can. A long bus ride, but several stops along the way break up the trip, plus provide both comfort breaks and interesting sites. The countryside is beautiful - I had no knowledge about Tasmania, so this was a bonus of the trip. The park itself is magnificent. Our driver/guide was friendly, knowledgeable and informative. A very good day!

Expect a long van ride. Cradle Mountain is nice. Sheffield murals are really neat. Never got to see the topiary.

Marta was a wonderful tour guide and gave us a lot of local perspective and information about Burnie and Tasmania. Cradle Mountain was exceptionally beautiful and we were lucky because we were able to see it on a clear day. I think this excursion would not have been as good if it had not been good weather but we took the chance and it paid off!

Very informative, we had a great day out with Howard, he went out of his way to make the trip special for everyone including an independent winery that wasn't on the tour. thanks :
