On a father/son trip to London we decided to take the ferry to Normandy and visit the D-Day landing beaches. Very moving experience, particularly when the French military veterans lowered the American flag at the Omaha Beach US Cemetery at sunset. A must for history buffs, family of veterans who took part in WWII, and all who appreciate the sacrifices made by our Allied military, whether American, Canadian, French, or British to liberate the Continent and preserve our freedoms.

Solid driver for 7-passenger van excellent guide. Well-structured tour. Special opportunity: because the tour was experienced on November 30 when sunset was about 4:45pm, we were able to observe the formal Taps ceremony at the American Military Cemetery. A very solemn and poignant occasion. The Cemetery stop did not include a tour of the Visitor's Center however, if you hustle during free time, it is worth the effort and time to experience the VC no charge. The lunch at the Caen Memorial that was included in the package far exceeded the norm for a tour group.

Mario was an informative and friendly guide. The tour may sound long, but there was never a moment that we felt overwhelmed. The lunch was better than expected. And there was just enough time at each venue to have a full experience.

Our tour was amazing. Marilynne was such a great tour guide. She was very informative and with it being such a long day with many stops, she kept our interest the entire time. A must do if travelling to France.

Top notch tour from start to finish. The museum tour was very well done, with a highly knowledgeable guide. It is a long day filled with many different sights and facts that I had never heard before. A must do if you have a full day to devote to it.

My husband and I took this day trip from Paris, and it was a real treat from start to finish. We really appreciated that we had only 6 people, and we were driven around in a van, not a bus. Our guide was wonderful - she was knowledgeable about the area and the history behind the events that occurred there. I am not a history buff, but I found the subject matter fascinating and sobering. We were well taken care of from the moment we stepped off the train in Caen until the van dropped us off again that afternoon. Even the lunch at the museum was incredible I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the Normandy sites.

This tour was amazing!!!!! Our tour guide was the best! He was French but had traveled to the US to learn about our culture and talk with WWII vets. We did the American tour and we spent just enough time at each site to learn all the background. Only 6 people in the van so our guide made it personable and was able to answer all of our questions. The lunch at the Caen Museum was out of this world!!! Definitely recommend this tour!

If you want to do a day trip to Caen and experience the Dday beaches from Paris, this is the tour to take. Our guide Mario was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Keep in mind!- you could spend 2 weeks here learning about everything so it does feel a little rushed, but that and #39;s a day tour for you.

Excellent tour! The drivers and guides were prompt, courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend it. It is an all day tour...small group 6-7 people in mini vans. Good lunch included.

My mom and I spent the day on the D-Day Tour during our visit to Paris. It was so well worth it! Pray that you get Mario- he was absolutely amazing! The train system was easy and they were right there when we arrived to Caen. You start off at the museum which is so well spent and organized. I recommend taking time to wander outside to the gardens then go into the bunker. We didn't feel rushed at different sites, they gave you time to wander on your own, and some of the places have little stores for snacks, coffees, beverages etc. Again, I highly recommend this for a day trip.

What a wonderful tour. Very educational. Our guide, Mario, did a great job. He gave us details we would not have picked up on our own. It made the whole tour so much meaningful.
It rained some and was cool and sometimes windy. Definitely bring layers for your comfort, no matter the time of year.

It is worthed. We have learned so many interesting historical facts. Wonderful experience. Just make sure you book the correct train to Paris, I mean at the correct time after the tour is finished.
