What You Can Expect

Cairns Harbor Cruise with Optional Lunch

Trinity Inlet

A harbor cruise provides the best way to explore the unique tidal estuary that surrounds Cairns. Enjoy pickup from your Cairns, Palm Cove or Northern Beaches hotel (if option selected) or make your way to the Reef Fleet Terminal in the early afternoon. Climb aboard a river boat and settle in on one of the outside decks or in a comfortable enclosed cabin.

Get a new perspective on the city of Cairns as you cruise along the waterfront, and then make your way into meandering waterways of Trinity Inlet. As you glide along the mangroves of this tidal estuary, keep an eye out for birds, reptiles and crocodiles basking in the sun. A friendly crew will help you spot the massive crocs and provide live commentary about crocodile lifecycles and harbor history.

Enjoy complimentary afternoon tea onboard, or treat yourself to a selection of snacks and beverages from the fully licensed bar (own expense). Young passengers are treated to a tour of the wheel house and can commemorate their voyage with a ‘crocodile certificate’ and coloring sheet.

To enhance your experience, select the option to have a pre-cruise lunch at Dundee’s Restaurant, considered one of the best in Cairns.
Enjoy a 2-course meal right on the waterfront with a menu highlighting grilled meats, pasta, fresh salads and seafood selections like soft-shell crab tempura, garlic prawns and seared barramundi. Kids can choose from a special children’s menu, and drinks are available to purchase from the bar.

Afternoon harbour cruise with afternoon tea.
Lovely relaxing cruise along the harbour, with a very informative talk from our driver.
Calm water all the way.
Got to see a salt water crocodile on the bank, which was a highlight of the cruise.
Selection of cakes and hot drinks and also a bar if you wanted an alcoholic drink.
Very reasonably priced, with nice clean boat and friendly crew.

I would highly recommend the inlet cruise for anyone to sit back and enjoy a relaxing 2 hr boat trip, all with commentary and afternoon tea. The price is very reasonable, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and were happy to answer any questions we had. We were given information about Trinity Inlet, Cairns city, landmarks and surrounds all the while sitting back sitting tea, coffee of just the ice cold water on tap. The cruise was safe in the calm waters and you are able to walk around the boat because you can be assured of plenty of photo opportunities. ould have loved to have seen a crocodile in the mangroves, but sadly on this day we didn't. It gives us a good reason to go on this cruise again!!

Pleasant and relaxing tour on the cairns harbour with interesting commentary from the boat's crew on the surroundings. Even spotted some crocodiles! Other than the tea/coffee there were some snacks available as well, which was a pleasant surprise. The Lamingtons especially were really good.
