What You Can Expect

Full-day Horse Riding and ATV Tour from Cairns

Full-Day Combo: Horseback Riding and ATV Tour from Cairns or Palm Cove

Choose from an early or late morning departure that starts with pickup from your hotel in Cairns, Palm Cove or the Northern Beaches and transfer to a ranch where you go horse riding and quad biking.

Meet your expert horse guide and receive a safety briefing and basic instruction for riding a horse. Your guide matches you with the appropriate horse — all of the horses have calm dispositions — and helps you to get comfortable in the saddle. Once you’re ready, your guide leads the way on a leisurely horse ride through the forest that proceeds at a walking pace. Follow trails that go through mangroves forests, rainforest and sugarcane fields. Pass a watering hole where you might spot a crocodile and keep an eye out for birds and lizards along the way.

Return to the ranch headquarters and after a break, your quad bike tour guide provides instruction and a safety briefing for your afternoon adventure. It’s easy to learn the basics of handling the all-terrain quad bike, and before long most people are riding like the pros. Follow your guide on a thrilling, muddy tour along dirt tracks that lead through the rainforest for an afternoon of high-octane fun.

Beginners and experienced riders can go on both tours as all levels of experience are welcome. At the end of 5.5 hours, transfer back to your hotel to end your tour.

Exceptional staff, great ATV's and well-trained horses.Beginner ATV track was awesome escpecially because it was muddy! Great photography you can purchase of your time at blazing saddles. Would reccomend to everyone; nothing bad to say!

We'd not been on horses before so was great to do so - but for those who have, may not be the most exhilarating as the horses don't get faster than a walk. We enjoyed it though.
But ATV is full throttle. It's fast, it's messy and its great fun. Will do this again for sure.
Probably not suitable for those that don't want to get muddy (or can't) and those not interested in speed. Boys will love it....

In general we enjoyed our day trip.

We did the horse/ATV combo. We were a little dissapointed with the hors riding portion. THis is OK if you are a beginner or have little experience riding horses. For intermidiate or higher, this will probably be a boring ride.
Howewver, the ATV portion saved the day! This was a blast, and we enjoyed it tremendously. Even my hard-to-please teenage daughter gave it a thumbs up!
In general, I would reccomend this day trip. If you have to choose between the horse riding or the ATV, go for the ATV.

The horse riding was pretty boring. The ATV part of the day was excellent and we had lots of fun. The tour we booked included a hotdog lunch but we were told when we got there that they dont do this anymore.. this was disappointing as our tour started at 1045 am and we didn't get back to our hotel until after 4pm. You cant take your camera on the tour - I wish I knew that before hand . You can buy photos that the photographer takes of you on the tour but they are a bit on the pricey side.
