Everything about this tour was perfect. We had such an insightful experience and our tour guide was a very experienced and educated in Egypt history.

It was a great day trip. Mohamed was a great guide. He knows the city very well. He took us through the Khan Khalili and helped me with my souvenir shopping. Took us to a great restaurant near the American Embassy. He really made the day enjoyable.

We booked a tour with an Italian guide because one of us didn't speak English very fluently. Unfortunately, the guide that has been provided to us didn't speak Italian(only a couple of words). He was very good as a guide, he knew a lot of things (this is why I put two stars and not one) but this is not what we paid for. On top of this, at the end of the tour we were supposed to visit the bazar Khan Khalili but instead the guide brought as to a specific shop where we were basically forced to buy something. So I don't feel to recommend this tour.

Amazing!!! We had a wonderful time in Egypt....This tour was everything we expected and more...We would like to especially thank our tour guide Mustafa Salih for being so professional and also for making us feel like we knew each other for years ...it was a great experience and would definitely recommend it....thank you for the chance to learn about Egypt.
Underwhelming

Our guide was nice and very sweet. However, she was very soft spoken and her English was a little limited. It made asking questions difficult. We included lunch with the ticket, but it came at the end of the tour and was a buffet that was disappointing. We would have loved to have had an ordered Egyptian meal instead of steam tray spaghetti and meatballs.

Wouldn’t recommend

First of all our guide was 40 minutes late. We booked an 8am tour but the museum wasn’t even open when we got there so we waited around even longer. So don’t bother booking an early tour. If you’re interested in a tour guide who walks and talks you through everything then this is not the tour for you. He only gave us a brief overview of everything and a lot of free time. We booked the full day tour but we were finished at lunch time.

This was a wonderful experience! The tour guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Egypt. The museum was incredible with so many artifacts! I would highly recommend!

Fun tour!!! Our guide Marwa was very knowledgeable on Egyptian History and answered every question that we had. We really enjoyed our time. *Note (To future travelers interested in booking): Make it very clear that you aren’t interested in any of the little detour shops that they try to include if you want to utilize more time in the stops that are actually listed. This is the second time we had to say no to the sprinkling in of these random shops in a tour in Cairo. Some folks just want to experience what’s listed on the description and nothing else, us being one of those individuals*

It was a lovely trip to see the Bazaar and the citadel. Mr. Ahmed, was our tour guide and he made sure that we are safe from the local vendors who were trying to fool us at many locations. He was very friendly and had a great deal of knowledge, he was very welcoming and clicked a lot of pictures, unlike other tour guides. He definitely treated us as someone very close and not just tourist. I definitely recommend the tour.

We had the most amazing time! Ahmed Mr. What’s wrong with you was our guide. We went to the citadel the mosque of Mohammed Ali the museum of antiquities the bazaar, a papyrus shop class, ate at the best places and shopped till we dropped. He has all the stories he has humor and above all else the hospitality was truly incredible. He wasn’t just a guide he was our photographer and bargained for us. He kept up with 3 women talking over each other and making my husband feel as if he wasn’t alone. He made sure we felt safe and secured. He introduced us to the beautiful culture. He felt like family and we will miss him truly!!! This is a must do tour and if you can request this man I promise you won’t regret it! Shukrun Ahmed!!!!

Day at the Museum

The Egyptian Museum is incredible! So much to see. We particularly enjoyed King Tut's room filled with the most intricately made jewelry and artifacts. Our tour guide, Mario, ensured we saw all the most important items in the Museum and kept us on track and moving; while still allowing us time to digest the information and take pictures. The Citadel is beautiful and we throughly enjoyed the two Mosques and being able to see all of Cairo. We had a wonderful time at the Bazaar, buying all kinds of things such as a brass camel to commemorate our camel ride and silver earrings that will remind us of the museum, Horus, and Egypt. We had a wonderful day which only got better as we stood on the corner waiting for our driver and watched the controlled chaos of tour buses, camels, people, cars, donkey carts all converging together. Fantastic!

Have the guide take you to the Khan el-Khalili bazar near the Mohammed Ali Mosque, which is much better than other areas we have been to. Haggle, because your guide won't help. The prices from the people on the street are better than the stores for the same item. Have a cup of coffee, they'll find you. Also, bring US dollars, no one really wants to be paid in Egyptian pounds.
