This was the second of three day tours that my husband and I took with Emo Tours through Viator and we were very pleased with the outcome. Tito was our guide and he did a phenomenal job with explaining everything and giving us lots of history! He was a veritable font of knowledge! Answering all our questions and if he didn't know an an answer was honest enough to say so as opposed to making something up. He was easy going and let us go at our pace. Our driver was Saeed, and he was amazing! Egypt drivers are nuts and Saeed navigated the traffic expertly! Got us to all our locations safely! I would definitely recommend Emo Tours and Tito and Saeed in particular.
Awesome trip. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone wishing to see what Egypt has to offer. The trip was made even better by having a knowledgeable tour guide along. Unfortunately, this day was a holiday and the library closed early and we did not get a chance to visit it.
Gouda, Our tour guide was awesome! He was so accommodating and informative. We were picked up on time. We saw all the sites as listed in the itinerary. We had an amazing lunch at a fresh fish restaurant on the water.
Professional and knowledgeable of the city.

A great trip which left us feeling that we had learnt a huge amount about Alexandria both ancient and modern. Our experienced guide certainly knew his stuff and illuminated our visits to the catacombs of Kom al-Shukafa and Pompey's Pillar with a wide range of relevant anecdotes. Exploring Qaitbay Fort previously the site of the Pharos lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world showed us just how seriously the defence of this bustling Mediterranean city was taken in the past. Our last port of call, the new Alexandria Library, was simply stupendous. A hi-tech library of over 4 million books, the sheer size and brilliance of the architecture will take your breath away.
Again thru Emo Tours and the guide was Ahmed and driver was Sameer. It took litle more than 2 hours to reach Alexandria, and the drive, trip was very comfortable. I had a detailed explaination of everything from Ahmed about Citadel, Cata comb etc. His knowledge is through and trip was very informative.
Picked up on time. Guide was very good and let us see sites thoroughly at our own pace. Alexandria library guided tour and library exceptional. Beautiful location for lunch. Overall a 5 star day from 2 very happy travelers.
My wife and I had an amazing day trip to Alexandria thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Gouda! Our tour started with a prompt pick-up at our hotel in Giza. The ride to Alexandria was a little over 2 hours, which went by very fast, as Gouda is quite the storyteller of Egyptian history. He explained so many interesting stories with great detail and enthusiasm, which really helped us understand the importance of Alexandria in the course of ancient and modern Egyptian history. Once we arrived, we visited 5 great sites: 1 Kom El-Shuqafa Monuments The Catacombs 2 Kom El-Dekka Site The Roman Theatre 3 Amid El-Sawari 4 The Alexandria Library 5 Citadel of Qaitbay. Each site was stunning and packed with history, which Gouda explained very clearly and detailed. I must add that Gouda is highly educated in the history of Egypt, this is really important to my wife and I when traveling, as we love to learn new things, but also have fun while doing it. Gouda provided this balance of a knowledge packed day with lots of fun at every stop! Gouda is very personable and quickly became wonderful company! For lunch time we went to a wonderful seafood restaurant, with a truly spectacular view of the Mediterranean sea. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to visit Alexandria and make sure to ask for Gouda for a very special day!
We had a fantastic day with our guide Mohammed! You must include this tour with your trip to Egypt. Not only is Mohammed an experienced and knowledgeable guide but he is a great person! Alexandria seems very different to the rest of Egypt and there is so much to see there! Amazing!!

Wonderful experience. The three hour by road journey from Cairo to Alexandria is not at all scenic due to barren land but the road condition is so good that you reach Alexandria smoothly. Visiting Royal Library of Alexandria is a nice experience itself. Having a delicious authentic Egyptian lunch at the sea shore of Mediterranean Sea is ever memorable experience that this tour gives you.
