Private visit to Saqqara, Dahshur, and Memphis with Rafa

Private familiy visit to Saqqara, Dahshur, and Memphis with Rafa, our Spanish-speaking guide. Rafa picked us up at the scheduled time from the hotel, a little earlier than planned to avoid cairo peak traffic. The driver was very friendly and a great driver. The visit consisted of exploring the stepped pyramid of Saqqara, the pyramids of Dahshur, and the Memphis museum. We enjoyed the day and the guide's explanations very much. Finally, he took us to a local- touristic restaurant . The food was delicious, and we were able to try Egyptian dishes on our first day in the country.

Loved this tour. Our guide was easygoing, understood, as mature aged travellers was happy for us to wander about at our pace. Places we visited were interesting and he was very knowledgeable. One of the best tours we have done this trip. Would happily recommend.

Would recommend but could add more history

Great way to see the further sights of the Cairo area without having to worry about transportation. Good mix of guided and 'free time'. Only improvement would be a little more background on the history vs just 'this is x'.
Calm day in comparison to Giza

This tour was just okay. We were excited to go inside a pyramid and see certain writing and decorations but that was apparently closed (obviously to no fault of anyone). The guide and driver were lovely, but the tour itself wasn’t very engaging. It was a little tough to communicate with our guide — they were knowledgeable and could give their speech about each stop but couldn’t answer any of our questions or hold additional conversations. It was a nice alternative to Giza if you want a chill day, and lunch was really good, but I think we would’ve opted to stay home if we could do it over.
Very worthwhile trip that only a small percentage of visitors seem to choose.

Great little trip to the lesser known and less popular pyramids. Our guide, Mira, was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Very interesting to learn more about what these pyramids mean, their history and the significance they hold. Much less crowded but equally as impressive as the "main 3" pyramids.
An ok tour

I would say that our tour was ok. Our guide had some good explanations of pyramid construction and shared his passion for Egyptian language but didn’t go out of his way to make the day interesting. There was little communication during the time in the car. He spent this napping or on his phone. When we asked questions instead of answering then he would say he would tell us later. We had to keep remembering to ask the questions again if he didn’t answer them. The company also did not inform him that we needed to be dropped off at the airport which seemed to cause some upset between him and the driver and maybe made the guide feel stressed to finish on time but we actually arrived 2.5 hrs before our domestic flight. The meal was at one of the large tourist restaurants and the food was ok.

Had a great day with Abdul and Kareem. There's much more to see than can be believed! Great lunch, great sites and great guide and driver, both gentlemen were the nicest people that made the day that much more enjoyable! These pyramids may be the least visited of the main ones, but well worth it!

Wonderful to see the ‘start’ of Pyramid building and the different experiments that led to the Great Pyramid. Memphis was fascinating- the huge statue of Ramses was fantastic Our guide Mahmoud was superb

Highly recommended. Visiting Dahshur, Saqqara and Memphis has been the highlight of our trip to Egypt. Climbing down into the Bent Pyramid was an amazing experience. Our guide and driver were wonderful.

We had a great time at this tour! We learned the stories behind the pyramids we visited and enjoyed this history dive so much! Our guide tour and the driver were friendly and lighthearted. We laughed a lot with them. Lunch was also very good. Traditional Egyptian cuisine with tasty flavors. We recommend this tour!

Excellent tour to less visited sites in Egypt. We had an excellent guide and driver. Not only did we see fascinating sites, pyramids etc.. our guide was able to give us a full history of the pyramids and the site of Memphis. We also got to see how life is lived outside Cairo which was really interesting. Lunch was included and it was delicious. Must mention our excellent driver, the Cairo traffic was crazy but he got us safely back to our hotel.
