We were picked up at the hotel on time in a comfortable private van with A/C. Tour guide took care of obtaining the tickets to enter the Pyramids and Sphinx, as this service is included in the price of the tour. We went to see the pyramids from the plateau, then rode the camels 1 per person for 25-30 minutes, and had pictures taken during the ride. Then, we saw the pyramids up close and entered a small pyramid to observe it from inside. We then went to the Sphinx, followed by the Papyrus and Essential oils shops/factories. We finished our tour with an authentic Egyptian lunch, and were returned to the hotel by 2PM. Our driver was safe and our guide was very knowledgeable of Cairo's history and spoke very good English. Glad to have chosen the 1/2 day tour, as it was as thorough as a full-day tour would have been.

Highly recommend this tour to the Giza Pyramids. It is great to have a private tour as you can ask as many questions as you like and the tour guide was flexible and took lots of great photos of us. We learnt so much about the Pharoaic era and the building of the pyramids - it is a must if you are visiting Cairo. Lunch at a local Egyptian café was delicious. Definitely worthwhile!

The Great Pyramids! Number One on the Bucket List!! They were everything I'd hoped for and so much more! Our guide, Mady, did a great job sharing the history of Egypt and explaining how they evolved into their iconic orm. We also visited an aromatherapy/perfume factory shop and a papyrus shop! Thank you Mary!!

We started the half day tour by being picked up on time at our hotel by our guide Ashraf, and our driver Mohamed. We were taken straight to the Giza Pyramids first, and had the history explained in an easy to understand way, Ashraf also helped us out with the best locations to take great photo memories. We were then driven out to the dunes area behind the pyramids to take the camel ride.
For someone who hadn't been on a camel before, this was a real treat, and the perfect location. The ride was about 25minutes, with the customary stop for the perfect photo. Although I'm no expert, the camels seemed in good condition and seemed to be treated well and had plenty of feed in the stabling area. So, I don't think there's any issues there.
After the ride, we then were driven back down to the Sphinx 5mins, where Ashraf explained the history of it. The closest you can get is slightly to the side of the paws, but ask to go to the light show seating area to get the better front-on view with the pyramids in the background.
After the Pyramids and Sphinx, we were driven away for lunch. we were given a choice of a sit-down Arabic meal, or some local street food. We took the later, and were not disappointed.
After lunch we were taken to the Papyrus Museum where we were given a brief history of Papyrus and it's uses, then a demonstration of how it's made. There is a gallery there where original paintings on Papyrus are for sale. There is no pressure to purchase.
After the Papyrus Museum, we were driven back to our hotel.
Overall. We were very happy with the tour, the level of information was perfect for first timers, the guide was very helpful, the driver earned his money in the Cairo traffic! Highly recommended.

First of all, I'd like to give a shout out to our tour guide Sherif. He was an excellent companion and tour guide. Explained everything to us and helped make this trip as smooth as possible. The tour itself was really great. The food was great. Everything just went so perfect. It was a very organized and well thought-out tour. We got enough free time to take any pictures we wanted to take and we were never behind schedule. It was a very chill and relaxed trip overall. We also got to visit a papyrus store and that was also a nice experience. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to visit the pyramids because of its high quality service!
