This was my best trip to the pyramids ever. Our guide Miss Manar Attoh was so delighted to answer all our questions. she was kind, patient and fully knowledgeable about the ancient egyptian history. I highly recommend this trip because it's very flexible. I specifically recommend Miss Manar who exceeded my expectations and made this trip so successful.
My tour started when I was picked up at my hotel. They were right on time despite my difficult location and no hotel sign. My tour guide, Samah, was excellent. She was very knowledgable about the pyramids and Egyptian history in general. She had good recommendations and knew the area well.
The driver didn't say much, but drove well in difficult traffic. They took care of me and served up a meal on the way home. Very professional, I highly recommend Samah for a pyramid tour.
This tour was well worth it! Our guide was very educated and we left with a wealth of knowledge. Certainly a must do/see!

During my time in Egypt I took a private tour to the Pyramids, Sphinx and Camel ride! I was so fortunate to have Zenab as my guide and Mohamad as my driver, both of them were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was nothing short of amazing and it was all of my dreams come true. I had just enough time at each of the stops, Zenab was so thoughtful, caring and made sure I knew exactly what was going to happen at each stop as well as guide me on how much money to tip if I wanted on the camel ride and the for the people taking pictures so you know your not being taken advantage of. We stopped and had a nice Egyptian lunch as well as stop at the perfume store and painting shop which was so interesting. During lunch Zenab sat with me and we had lots of conversation and it was lovely to get to know her she is such a sweet lady and asset to the company. I took this tour on my first day in Egypt and I felt safe and well looked after, it was a great introduction to the Country. You do not need to have any doubts you have to book this tour!
Recommend if you want to see the most popular pyramids and ride a camel. Good to see with a guide if its your first time. Just say no thank you to the vendors and avoid eye contact if you aren't a shopper. This was our 2nd visit to the Giza pyramids and we learned some new history about them. Our first visit was with a tour of 15 and we would have ideally liked to spend more time there so we went back for another look. Guide Ashraf Zachary was great
Wonderful experience made even better by our excellent guide who knew so much and answered all our questions. Felt totally secure throughout the day but also felt we were treated as individuals. Although entering the great Pyramid was extra, it was well worth it for this once in a lifetime visit.
Our group had an amazing day with our tour guide, Khaled and our driver Salah! Khaled is fluent in English, has a great sense of humor and is extremely knowledgeable about Egypt's history and present day culture. We were able to extend our half a day trip by a few hours and he showed us some great areas and stores that we would have never found on our own! We felt secure during our trip, and it is clear that Khaled has established relationships with vendors and groups throughout the city, We felt safe at each stop and were greeted warmly everywhere we went. Bring money for tipping!
I usually dont write a review, but this time, I am so fascinated with the history of ancient Egypt that I wanted to share my experience with others.
I never expected to be treated like royalty when I hired the Tour Guide Michael. Michael was so great and helpful that I had to express my appreciation on this forum. Michael was punctual. He arrived on time and he knows his stuff so much that he describes things like my good old history professor. I would recommend his services to anyone looking for a private tour guide. Good luck!!!!
As a family of 5 and all the stories of scammers and hagglers around the pyramids, I decided to use Trip advisor to suggest a possible tour. Zainab our tour guide was spot on in providing the expectation of making us feel comfortable and arranging everything as described and more .
My family thoroughly enjoyed every moment and the warmth and hospitality of the tour especially the Camel Ride which was our highlight. wish I had booked all my other 3 tours with Zainab and can definably recommend her as a tour guide in and around Cairo .
This isn't just one of my favorite tours--it is one of the best experiences of my entire 33 years of life.
Great day from the beginning with tour guide Michael and his driver! They took me to the Giza pyramids and I got to do the camel riding which was very nice! As we talked a lot about the Sakkara pyramid along the way, I wanted to see it too. Michael arranged it on the spot for us to head to Sakkara pyramid and also to include the papyrus museum, which was also interesting to see. Highly recommend it!
Zenab was amazing, knowledgeable and accomodating. Very lycky to have had her as my guide!
I wish there was more than 300 characters to describe how much we enjoyed this tour! Special thanks to Mr Ahmed Kamouna for his professionalism, patience and knowledge. We had a young child with us and Mr Kamouna handled that very well. Top service and friendliness. Highly recommended! Five stars!
We had a BLAST on our tour! It was our favorite day of our 10 day trip. We got THE BEST tour guide possible, Zenab Hanafy. She was amazing! We felt very comfortable with her and she answered all of our MANY questions. She also told us many tips for dealing with the shop owners around the places we were taken to. She even met us at the Egyptian museum the next day to point out some of the amazing pieces that we would have completely missed had we just walked around ourselves. As for the tour, we started the morning at our hotel, got in an air conditioned van and rode out to the pyramids stopping for waters and snacks before arriving. We rode camels near the pyramids to get some great pictures from afar, then walked up close to the pyramids and even got to go inside one of the smaller ones - so cool! After visiting the pyramids, we went to some local shops in Cairo - a perfume/oil store, a papyrus store with some unique art, and a gift shop for souvenirs. I can't say enough great things about the tour and our tour guide. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience! Thank you, Zenab! You were SO wonderful and we all miss you!
I flew into Cairo from Doha for a one day trip. I booked a half day private tour of the pyramids/sphinx with camel ride and then an evening dinner cruise with traditional dancing and buffet. This review is for the first part of the day though Migo was my tour guide for both parts.
My first pickup was at 9 AM. I waited in my hotel lobby and was greeted promptly by Migo who told me that he would be my guide for the whole day. We boarded our private car and headed for the pyramids. Migo was extremely knowledgeable of Egyptian history and made the entire trip both fun and entertaining. He told me about the layout of Egypt and about the general history Cairo while we drove to the pyramids about 10 minutes away.
Words can't do justice for the pyramids. Their magnitude is truly incredible. It was an awe-inspiring time walking around them. I decided to take the optional tour inside the great pyramid extra 200 EGP or 11 USD - this option was nothing too visually awe-inspiring but it isn't everyday that you can say you were inside of the great pyramids. Note that pathways are small and inclined and require some physical effort - definitely was sweating when I left. Migo explained all of the known history of the pyramids and helped me take photos to capture some of the moments. We made our second stop at the scenic overview where I took plenty of pictures. Next was the camel ride. Snoopy was my ride and it was quite the experience riding a camel and gazing over the pyramids. The guide for the camel stops at a scenic overlook to take more pictures. Our third stop was at the two smaller pyramids. Took a few pictures and moved on to the sphinx. It was crowded here but it was still impressive to see. Migo continued giving me tidbits of history which helped me appreciate everything I was seeing. After this last stop we went to a local shop to see if there was anything I wanted to purchase. They had some interesting trinkets, but nothing caught my attention and they shop keeper did not put any pressure on me to buy unlike local vendors at the pyramids. We then proceeded to a papyrus shop where they show you how it is made and give you options to purchase some even custom designs. No pressure to purchase here either, so I passed. Lastly for the morning we went to have lunch at an Egyptian restaurant. Migo gave me some options and I chose to go to a place that served kushari rice/noodle/lentil mix topped with chickpeas and fried onions topped with spiced tomato sauce topped with lemon spiced vinegar sauce. Lunch was incredible and this traditional Egyptian dish is on my favorite dishes period. There was a nice dessert of Umm Ali Egyptian bread pudding more or less - this was also really tasty. I definitely left more than full and was ready for my nap before the evening dinner cruise.
Overall I was extremely satisfied with the tour. Migo was an incredible tour guide and really was able to make the whole trip 100 better than trying to do it alone 11/10. I could not have a higher review of the half day tour with the pyramids 10/10. It was a successful one day trip to Cairo - I wish I could have stayed longer.
Michael, my tour guide was fantastic. Knowledgeable and informative but distant enough to allow me to experience the sites. Coming from the States, I was jet lagged and slow, but he moved to my pace without being rushed. They were on time to pick me up in a nice car, drove safely, and made sure I saw what I wanted to. I felt safe the entire time and happy to have had the opportunity to see these truly incredible sites!
We were picked up at the hotel on time in a comfortable private van with A/C. Tour guide took care of obtaining the tickets to enter the Pyramids and Sphinx, as this service is included in the price of the tour. We went to see the pyramids from the plateau, then rode the camels 1 per person for 25-30 minutes, and had pictures taken during the ride. Then, we saw the pyramids up close and entered a small pyramid to observe it from inside. We then went to the Sphinx, followed by the Papyrus and Essential oils shops/factories. We finished our tour with an authentic Egyptian lunch, and were returned to the hotel by 2PM. Our driver was safe and our guide was very knowledgeable of Cairo's history and spoke very good English. Glad to have chosen the 1/2 day tour, as it was as thorough as a full-day tour would have been.
Highly recommend this tour to the Giza Pyramids. It is great to have a private tour as you can ask as many questions as you like and the tour guide was flexible and took lots of great photos of us. We learnt so much about the Pharoaic era and the building of the pyramids - it is a must if you are visiting Cairo. Lunch at a local Egyptian café was delicious. Definitely worthwhile!
The Great Pyramids! Number One on the Bucket List!! They were everything I'd hoped for and so much more! Our guide, Mady, did a great job sharing the history of Egypt and explaining how they evolved into their iconic orm. We also visited an aromatherapy/perfume factory shop and a papyrus shop! Thank you Mary!!
What an incredible experience. For sure, once in a life time opportunity .
The minute you step in on campus, the view of the Pyramid and Great Sphinx is just breath taking. A magnificent and sophisticated piece of architect , yet built in the ancient world.
