We were picked up from our hotel at 3:30am for the 5am flight to Luxor. The flight from Luxor was supposed to be at 10:15pm but it was delayed, so we didn't return to our hotel until past midnight. It was such a long day!
The tour to the Valley of the Kings and to the temples was very educational. Our tour guide Nermeen was very knowledgeable about the historical sites. She even took the time to explain the meaning of the hieroglyphics. She was very pleasant to be with and definitely has the perfect personality for the job.
We finished the tour at around 3pm so we had a long time to wait for the flight back to Cairo. Our tour guide did offer a few options of activities we could do in the meantime but they will cost us extra of course, and we weren't too interested.
I could rate this 5/5 but I'm rating it 4/5 because this tour didn't include lunch. We were asked to pay $20 each for lunch, which we gave directly to our tour guide, plus we paid for the drinks. Knowing the cost of food in Cairo, I would say that this is quite expensive.
Also, there was a miscommunication on the flight from Cairo, so if you book this tour, make sure you are clear on what time the flight to Luxor departs and returns.
Trip was great. Saw the Valley of The Kings, Queens, Karmack and Luxor. What we saw was right from watching a documentary on TV but with better local knowledge. It was an early flight that actually had us as some of the first at Valley of The Kings. I think the return flight should have been scheduled for an earlier time. Very long day.
When we arrived in Cairo, Hesham was waiting for us, and he organized a dinner cruise for us. He was very knowledgeable about his city and was very clear when explaining. He also helped us establish a tour to see the Pyramids. With a short stay in Egypt, Hesham made sure we covered everything we needed to do. In addition, Hesham was excellent in picking us up, to and from the airport in Cairo. In Luxor, Remon was our guide, and he took us to the main places to see. He was very patient and answered all of our questions, and his English was very good. He too was very knowledgeable about his city. He arranged a nice lunch and motor boat ride for us as well, which was a great way to see Luxor. I would highly recommend this tour and these guides!
This was a great trip to see many of the sights in Luxor. It was very well organized and Hesham and Ahmed who got me to and from the airport were both great. Ahmed also helped me track down dinner before going back to my hotel. Pack a lunch or you can ask the guide in Luxor to take you to a lunch spot.
Luxor is huge and has a lot of things to see and do so a day trip will really be like the Top 5 Plays on Sportscenter. You will get to see and spend some time at each and at times you may not be able to go or get an indepth guide but still worth it.
This was a very exciting and educational tour. We got picked up from our Hotel on time to take an early morning flight to Luxor from Cairo. Our Guide George picked us up from Luxor airport and took us to all the sites to visit that day. He was an excellent Egyptologist with a lot of information about all the sites. We had enough time to have a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon we visited two temples before they close at 4 p.m. On our request, George also took us to a place to have the best sugar cane juice we have ever had. Since our flight was late at night, George helped us hang out at a local coffee shop to refuel our energy before a night Sound and light show at the Karnak Temple. This trip is definitely a must if you visit Egypt and have time to travel out of Cairo.
Great Tour, quite unforgettable ! Although the day started quite early, the trip is worth, The Temples of Luxor and Karnak are wonders of this world, and the Valley of Kings is amazing ! The guide gave us a clear overview and we had a wonderful day. Be prepared to walk a lot. At any rate it is worth
The tour was well coordinated with airport transfers and flight. Tour company will contact you after the booking to confirm flight details. The tour guide, George, was very polite and an archeologist. The driver, Mr. Mena, was punctual with nice van. Luxor is extremely hot in the summer- be prepared
This tour is a must. It was easy and well planned. The pick up from the hotel and transport to the airport went smoothly. The flights were comfortable. Our tour guide George was knowledgeable and very flexible. He personalized the tour to suit our needs. I would highly recommend the tour.
