Explore coral reefs, ancient history, and nature in the Riviera Maya on an 8-hour combination tour that features some of the best of Yucatan in a single day. Snorkel through the coral reef in the Caribbean Sea, visit the Tulum archeological site, and swim in a cenote, then explore a limestone cave and take a jungle walk. This tour includes entrance fees, a buffet lunch, and door-to-door transport from hotels in Cancun or Playa del Carmen.
  • 8-hour Tulum Ruins, Caribbean Sea snorkeling, and cenote combo tour
  • Explore the Mayan Ruins in Tulum
  • Take a walk through a cave before strolling through the jungle
  • Go for a swim in Cenote Caracol
  • Snorkel through a coral reef in the Caribbean Sea
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off are included
Start with pickup at your hotel, then begin the trip to the Tulum Archeological Site, among the most dramatic ancient cities on the Yucatan Peninsula, with stone fortifications overlooking a white sand beach. Learn about the history and culture of the Mayan people, with free time to photograph the ruins before leaving the site.

Continue to the Mexican Caribbean in an air-conditioned vehicle. Get fitted with snorkeling gear, and slip into the water to swim over the coral reef (the $10 USD fee for Conservation of the Marine Fauna is not included in this tour, and must be paid during the tour).

The afternoon is all about the natural world: follow your guide into a cave that’s bristling with stalagmites and stalactites, then take a walk through the jungle, listening to a forest chorus of tropical birds and animals. Visit the nearby Cenote Caracol to cool off with a swim in the fresh, limestone-filtered water.

This 8-hour tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

My friends and I did this excursion led by Fernando with David as our driver and Karla as our photographer. Overall this was the highlight of our visit in Cancun, they provided us with snacks, a great time together, and an unforgettable experience. The transportation was smooth and on time, we arrived at the Tulum ruins and Fernando explained everything in great detail. During the snorkeling part, some of us had some fears going in the water but there were plenty of other people to help us out if we didn't feel great about the water. The lunch wasn't that great but the cenote was incredible. I would recommend this to anyone!

Would really recommend this tour for those looking for a nice blend of "non-commercialized" tourism but still being with a group. Pickup went smoothly from Playa Del Carmen (near 5th Ave). The entire crew was very professional - tour guide (Jack) was super friendly and informative, the driver did a great job navigating the dirt roads to the Cenote (Mayan Massage - inside joke) and the photographer really captured the energy and good vibes of the day. The Tulum part of the trip was probably the least exciting but it was still nice to learn about Mayan history from a local guide. By far the highlight was visiting the dry and wet "cave" cenotes. Snorkeling in the wet one was a super cool experience and overall this was a much different experience to the other cenotes we had seen in the area, including the massive one near Chichen Itza. The trip to the lagoon for snorkeling was very nice as well and a good way to end the day.On this particular tour they sold pictures from the Cave Cenotes and Lagoon Snorkeling on a USB stick along with photos from other tours the company does (e.g. Whale Sharks) for 40 USD, which I thought wasn't that unreasonable (considering the price of the USB in general).

One of the highlights of my trip to Cancun, Mexico.Tulum was nicely done, trip into the jungle to snorkel and walk through 2 separate Cenotewas just fantastic. Lunch was very good and all you could eat. The snorkel trip was plan B in a river were it entered in to the ocean. The ocean was too rough for snorkeling. The river was lots of fun and a lot better than open ocean in chop. Ride into the jungle was pretty rough with 20 minutes of bouncing and swerving. A long fun filled day that I would do again!!

An excellent time! Our hosts for the trip were very informative and fun, ALL of the sights were beautiful! We were in a group with younger children 10-ish and they also seemed to be loving it. They supply with wet suits and swim/snorkel accessories. And the FOOD was the icing on the cake of a great day.

I recommend taking this tour if you want to get a chance to visit the tulum ruins, snorkeling was so much fun, i got a chance to see sting rays and turtles. Lunch was ok, a little cold but good taste. The cenotes and caves was simply amazing. Will take this tour again in the future.

This excursion was a great value. We were served a fabulous lunch. The cenote was thrilling. The vendor was in constant communication with us and on time. We could not have asked for a better guide in Luis. We love Luis. Highly recommend.

WOW! What a day! This tour lasts all day we got picked up at 7am and were dropped off at 7pm-I guess we were at the furthest resort. Esther was our tour guide and she was darling! So much spunk and knowledge and yet a complete pro! We started off with 10 of us in a group and headed to Tulum. It was hot, crowded but beautiful. We combined with another group and the guide had to translate everything. That was kind of a bummer and made for long wait times at each spot. If you want a lot of historical info I would get a personal tour guide but we were cool with the short and sweet version just enough of the history and cool info. Then we headed off to the snorkeling location which was about 5 minutes away the bagged snack they provide before snorkeling and not after-I'll explain in a sec. You get outfitted and then take little boats that hold about 6 to the reef. There is A LOT of seaweed this time of year but it was still amazing. We saw sea turtles, sting rays, barracuda and other fish of course. Wish we could have had life jackets that allow you to dive down a bit but oh well. Then we headed back and had a soda before we got back in our van. That's when we ate the snack they provide. This was not a good idea because when you go to the cenote you will go straight to eat lunch if there is too many people in the cenote which was the case for our group. In any case the lunch provided was traditional Mayan and delicious! Then we walked through a dry cenote breathtaking and then to the cenote you can swim in super cold with a bunch of stalactites that were amazing to try and swim around. Its basically a cave! In any case we got out and changed we forgot towels...don't forget! Note: bring serious bug spay! Those mosquitoes had a feast on us even though Esther gave us some bug spray! During the entire tour minus Tulum we had a photographer Lucho take amazing pics of our family for a great price see attached. Then the long ride home long for us but not for others-depends where you are staying. The tour itself is the exact time stated on Viator! If you want a great experience this tour is worth every penny!
Side note: Our GoPro fell toward the back of the van and we left it and they brought it back to us the next day!!! That is amazing service!
