This trip was such a great value! After being picked up we went to a mayan town and then another where had a delicious buffet before heading to Chichen Itza. Ricardo our guide had so much knowledge! After this we went to the cenote for an hour. I recommend bringing something for the long bus rides!
Brilliant tour. Marco and Ricardo were great, very informative. It was a long bus journey for us from Cancun but they made the time pass by quicker. Chichen Itza was a marvel, well worth the journey. The cenote was very busy but worth the swim. Well worth doing.
loved this trip. We got picked up right on time We visited A town Valladolid people were nice and friendly and after we went to Chicken itza, amazingly impressive site to look at. The lunch was very yummy the best food we ever had! Then after that we went to el cenote a breath taking site. Our tour guide, Rafael was fantastic and made the trip memorable, he is very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture.
I highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic guides! Saw and learned more than ever expected! Well worth it and recommend this definitely!!!!!!!!!!
Great tour and guide! Loved every second of this. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Very good guide, real serious approach to subject and he did the best to make us feel comfortable and get the best out of the day. We are very satisfied. Worth the money, no doubt.
This tour really was amazing, safe, fun, informative, Carlos and Martin were funny and great, we had enough time to do everything we wanted, eat, swim, shop, explore, definitely recommend
Loved the tour, the Chichen Itza was a spectacular site to see and the cenote was such an amazing experience to swim in, highly recommended.
Picked up at 7:50 am for Chichen Itza Day Trip
Drove around Cancun picking up other folks. We were on the road by 8:30 am
Our guide was Gabriel. He was very entertaining and informative!
9:45 first stop: Valladolid which has a temple built in the 1600s.
We spent about 30 minutes there.
11:00 second stop: Chaya beverage at a local village.
Showed how to prepare Achiote paprika and had a cooking lesson in Mayan village: pork marinated with achiote.
Watched how to make tortillas by hand.
They were delicious.
Had about twenty minutes for shopping then we went in for lunch.
The lunch buffet was much better than what we had thought. The achiote pork was outstanding.
1:15 third stop: Chichen Itza. Fantastic site. Unfortunately, we were only there for two hours. We definitely needed more time.
3:30 last stop: Ik-Kai cenote or sinkhole for a swim. We had one hour to shower, jump in, and swim around. There were dozens of people in the cenote, and the line to jump in from about 10 feet was super long. We had enough time to jump twice.
Gabriel spoke a bit on the 2 1/2 hour drive back to Cancun which was nice because I think all were very exhausted.
One tip: please be considerate of the timing. We had one guy who was consistently late to get on the bus and we lost valuable time at the ruins while waiting for him to get back.
