loved this trip. We got picked up right on time We visited A town Valladolid people were nice and friendly and after we went to Chicken itza, amazingly impressive site to look at. The lunch was very yummy the best food we ever had! Then after that we went to el cenote a breath taking site. Our tour guide, Rafael was fantastic and made the trip memorable, he is very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture.
I highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic guides! Saw and learned more than ever expected! Well worth it and recommend this definitely!!!!!!!!!!
Great tour and guide! Loved every second of this. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Very good guide, real serious approach to subject and he did the best to make us feel comfortable and get the best out of the day. We are very satisfied. Worth the money, no doubt.
This tour really was amazing, safe, fun, informative, Carlos and Martin were funny and great, we had enough time to do everything we wanted, eat, swim, shop, explore, definitely recommend
Loved the tour, the Chichen Itza was a spectacular site to see and the cenote was such an amazing experience to swim in, highly recommended.
Picked up at 7:50 am for Chichen Itza Day Trip
Drove around Cancun picking up other folks. We were on the road by 8:30 am
Our guide was Gabriel. He was very entertaining and informative!
9:45 first stop: Valladolid which has a temple built in the 1600s.
We spent about 30 minutes there.
11:00 second stop: Chaya beverage at a local village.
Showed how to prepare Achiote paprika and had a cooking lesson in Mayan village: pork marinated with achiote.
Watched how to make tortillas by hand.
They were delicious.
Had about twenty minutes for shopping then we went in for lunch.
The lunch buffet was much better than what we had thought. The achiote pork was outstanding.
1:15 third stop: Chichen Itza. Fantastic site. Unfortunately, we were only there for two hours. We definitely needed more time.
3:30 last stop: Ik-Kai cenote or sinkhole for a swim. We had one hour to shower, jump in, and swim around. There were dozens of people in the cenote, and the line to jump in from about 10 feet was super long. We had enough time to jump twice.
Gabriel spoke a bit on the 2 1/2 hour drive back to Cancun which was nice because I think all were very exhausted.
One tip: please be considerate of the timing. We had one guy who was consistently late to get on the bus and we lost valuable time at the ruins while waiting for him to get back.
The tour really keeps us busy and entertained. The tour guide is really knowledgable and funny. Definitely recommend to everyone who want to visit Cancun.
Incredible tour, I learned a lot about the Maya culture. Also, the lunch was really good!!! We had Ricardo as a guide and he was a very nice and funny guy. Strongly recommend!

A wonderful trip made even better by the passion of guide Carlos and the lunch provided. I would recommend this tour to better understand the engineering and skill involved with the building of the pyramids and the Mayan culture.
This is an incredible not to miss experience. Our tour guide was so passionate and enthusiastic. He gave us great info and advice. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Cancun.

Great experience. The tour guide Ricardo was quite informative. They arranged for additional vans to expedite the off-boarding of all guests that are from off-routes so that we all could go to our hotels after a long day in heat.
We had a fantastic time. They pack a lot of sightseeing into a single day-- in addition to Chichen Itza, we stopped in Valldolin, had a terrific lunch of local cuisine, got some shopping time in, and visited the cenote. The tour guide, Ricardo, was very experienced and knowledgeable, and advised us appropriately about how much time we had, where to shop, etc. Chichen Itza was an unforgettable experience. One warning: the cenote was so packed with tourists, we didn't get a chance to actually go swimming there. If you want to go, best wear your suit under your clothes and save some time. Would definitely book with this company again.
Really excellent tour. A full-on culture and history lesson, and a chance to encounter and support support the Mayans still living in the area.
One point to be clear on: this is a long day about 12 hours from pick-up to drop-off. Well worth it - but wear comfortable clothes, and plan on a long adventure! Best to plan this early in your vacation, and have a day of rest afterwards.
My wife and I are both at our 80's and we love to visit sites of ancient civilization. The visit to Chichen Itza was very impressive. We had an superb guide Ricardo who is not only very knowledgeable but also has a love and respect for the Mayan Civilization. I believe his enthusiasm leaves a deep impression for most of us visitors. Besides Ricardo, the driver and another Spanish speaker guide were also great. The ride in a full size tour bus is comfortable. The Mayan lunch is quite good. All of these that are provided by Viator makes the trip a very pleasant experience, not only that, for those who love culture it is also an enriching experience.
In addition to that, I would like to mention that Viator truly provides excellent tour with very reasonable rate. We tried a very big local company taking a tour to Tulum to compare with Viator. That was a big mistake. They charged twice of the Viator rate, no lunch, and the quality of the tour guide was in no way that can compare with Ricardo. Our advice is to stick with Viator.

This day out was amazing! Such good value, a lot cheaper than booking through your hotel. They pick you up early in the morning from your hotel and drop you back to your hotel in the evening. Our tour guide was so helpful and gave us lots of tips about where to buy the best souvenirs etc. You go swimming in the Cenote and get lunch afterwards which is delicious and included in the price. Chichen Itza is amazing and definitely worth a visit but there is very little shade so be prepared with sun screen, water, a hat etc.
It is a long day, we were gone for 12 hours, so bring some snacks with you. The lunch is a buffet so you can help yourself but it was nice to have some snacks to have on the bus.
Bring cash too if you want to buy anything.
Do not be late back to the bus when your guide lets you go off for a few hours in the different places. There was a couple on our bus that were late back after swimming in the Cenote so we had to leave without them. We waited for almost 30 mins which is very frustrating for everyone else who arrives back on time and our guide even went back in looking for them but had no luck. A van picked them up so they weren't stranded but it just makes it frustrating for the guide and others. There is a change in timezones between Cancun and the Cenote and Chichen Itza. Our guide was very clear in telling us that we would be sticking to Cancun time so everyone was to follow that. Be sure to clarify this with your guide before going off on your own from the bus.
Ricardo did an excellent job guiding us around. He is very enthusiastic and passionate about the Mayan history and culture. The tour was both informative, enjoyable and humorous.
The transportation was great, large coach with onboard toilet. You will be given opportunities to shop along the way.
AMAZING - PLEASE DON'T MISS THIS WHILE IN CANCUN! The entire trip was entertaining and amazing. The tour guide told us great stories the entire way there plus we stopped for some shopping, sight seeing and eating along the way too. So good.
Chichen Itza is absolutely amazing, and the history of it is even more incredible. But I would not have appreciated it nearly as much without the tour guide we had. He knew SO much and really broadened our minds into what Chichen Itza was really all about. It is quite the trip from Cancun, but well worth a day spent.
Amazing excursion! Very informative and fun! The tour guides were very knowledgeable and funny. A bus picked us up and dropped us off from our hotel which made it easy and stress-free. Swimming in the cenote was incredible and then finally Chichen Itza was breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour!
