Kick off your tour with pickup from your Cancun hotel between 7:00am and 7:45am. During the 2.5-hour journey to Chichen Itza, a 1,000-year-old archaeological site and one of the New7Wonders of the World, your guide explains the significance of the spring equinox.
On arrival at the site, you’ll embark on a guided tour of Chichen Itza’s highlights: experience the mystifying acoustics of the Ball Court; admire the elaborate etchings on the Temple of Warriors; and witness a majestic display of light and shadow on the Kukulkan Pyramid, the jewel in Chichen Itza’s architectural crown.
Following your tour, you’ll proceed to the Hubiku Cenote to cool off in subterranean sinkhole. Then, your tour culminates with a visit to Ek Balam, a lesser-known and therefore less crowded Mayan site famed for its 96-foot (29-meter) acropolis. Climb to the top of the structure and see the monument entrance to the Mayan underworld.
Your tour concludes with drop-of at your Cancun hotel.
