Cozumel Island Day Trip from Cancun

Meet your guide at your hotel in Cancun, then head for the dock to catch a ferry to Cozumel. This island, once important for commercial and ceremonial reasons to the Mayans, is now known for its beauty and proximity to the Mesoamerican Reef.

Snorkel at either Paraiso Alto or Paraiso Bajo reef using the provided snorkeling gear. After a safety briefing, dive in and float along the surface, surrounded by schools of tropical fish and vibrant coral. Search for crabs, lobsters and sea turtles as you enjoy weightlessness in the warm turquoise sea.

Activities for the rest of the day are up to you. Lie on one of the many pristine beaches, take a walk in the jungle, book some water sports activities (own expense) or ask your guide for recommendations. Enjoy lunch and drinks at a local Mexican restaurant in San Miguel. After lunch, admire the architecture and handicrafts for sale in San Miguel's quaint streets.

At the end of your Cozumel adventure, hop the ferry back to the mainland and then transportation back to your Cancun hotel.

The cruise unexpectedly had a live band which was AWESOME and the cruise was beautiful, the water is unbelievably bright and beautiful, the captain of the boat for snorkeling was astute and our snorkel guide was fantastic! I did not want to leave the water or reef. Isla Cozumel is an intriguing island, we throroughly enjoyed ourselves!

The guide was excellent!! The snorkeling was wonderful and it also allowed my 83 year old mother to go along and view the sea through the glass bottomed boat. The snorkeling at Cozumel was the best we did all week. We rented a jeep on the island and spent our free time exploring the island. The guide gave us instructions on how to catch the last ferry so we could have a full day. Only big disappointment was the ad said we would be picked up at the hotel which didn't happen. We had to take a taxi to a meeting spot which cost us an extra 20.

This was a wonderful trip! Had the best time, saw fish of all sorts while scuba diving and the staff were so friendly!

The guide that we had, Hector, was incredible. So friendly and helpful! The lunch was at an authentic Mexican open air restaurant that was awesome. The snorkeling was fun but I felt like I didn't see as much as I was anticipating after hearing about the great snorkeling in Cozumel.

Cozumel tour was great all went well , except snorkel gear was lacking specifically the used mouthpieces and not sure how they were cleaned so take your own or buy one on the island .

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better July 2015

We have no idea who our guide was still. We got shuffled around between three different guides and then stuck on a crappy boat with a Spanish speaking guide that on occasion spoke to us in some English. The boat was old and very bad. It said 'glass bottom' but what that really meant was a fiver glass boat with a lawnmower engine and a window maybe 1 foot by 2 feet was cut out in the middle and you could sort of see, but there was nothing to see.

This trip was a waste of my money and time!! We were picked up at our hotel at 7am and did not reach Cozumel until almost 12pm. We spent most of that time waiting and back tracking to pick up people. I thought our guide would give us info as we traveled but he slept the whole time. We were the only English speaking people on the tour and he seemed to speak to the others way more than us. Once we finally arrived in Cozumel we loaded a glass bottom boat to snorkel. The boat was a joke, it looked like it might fall apart at any moment and the glass bottom was a 3 foot window to look through. After we were done snorkeling we returned to the pier to find the normal dock under construction so we had to climb/step up onto a cement wall to get off the boat. It was unsafe and not very practical. I of course fell getting off the boat and hurt my knee on the cement. Once everyone was off the boat our guide walked us to a restaurant to eat lunch and then we had about 2 hours on our own to look around. Again I hoped the guide would give us info on Cozumel as we walked but that didn't happen. My husband and I have used your services before and have always been pleased with our tours but this one was a huge disappointment and waste of time. I feel we could have easily did this trip on our own and saved money.
