Arturo was an excellent tour guide. This tour was really a highlight of our trip. Everything was perfect - from the bikes, to the ruins, to the cenote, and ending with a fabulous lunch. Would definitely book this again.
Florentio was a great guide and really gave us a personal experience and perspective. He and the driver were great and Coba was much nicer than Chicen Itza as there were not vendors every five feet bothering you when all you want to do is look at the scenery.
I went on the 26th and the tour guy was so awesome! Very nice, really informative. We rode bicycles to the Coba Ruins and it was so much fun bicycles were included! Got to climb to the top and saw an amazing view. Afterwards we cooled off at the Cenote. Which was beautiful in its self. Overall, the trip went very well. We all had a great time and I learned a lot! DEFINITELY recommend this tour!!! SO worth the money!!!
Loved it!!! The tour guide was very informative, a must do if you are in cancun!
The tour and the restaurant for lunch were fine. The bus was 15ish min late for pick-up. I guessed it's because the bus had to pick up all the people from the south of hotel zone to the north. So I think I'm fine with a 15-min lateness.
Early departure meant beating the crowds and we did. We enjoyed the tour and had a wonderful day.
Amazing trip, guide and bus driver were fantastic! Highly recommend!!!!!
Great early morning trip to cobs. Our driver Julio was great and the cenote swim was awesome with high diving platforms.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide knowledge on Mayan ruins was impressive. Riding the bikes they provide around the grounds was fun. climbing to the top of the pyramid was amazing! It's very steep, and hot, you might sweat a little, but so worth it!
The tour picked us up at the Grand Mayan promptly at 7 am and we were very pleased with the entire tour and the guide, Oscar Osorio, who is wonderful. The early access is a wonderful idea and we had no crowds during any part of the tour. This is a tour you need to keep and keep Oscar also !!! The bike ride thru the Coba ruins was really fun and Oscar kept us entertained and educated the entire time. I highly recommend this tour
Excellent tour of Coba Ruins. The private, early entry tour was fantastic and well worth the very early morning departure from Cancun. The tour guide Marcos was very knowledgeable and provided a fantastic tour of the ruins at Coba. The added Cenotes pool diving was also well worth the money and was enjoyed by me and my two sons. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
Great guide and a great tour! Going extra early was well worth it! very informative and the cenote swim was incredible.
Just remember to take bug spray!
Very nice tour - I was impressed about the friendliness and professionalism of our Guide Marco Antino and the Driver Julio Cesar - The Two Imperors.
Wonderful trip. Our guide was Arturo and the driver was Jacinto. Smooth transfers. Wonderful tour of Coba. Coba is surrounded by jungle, so was different. Also it is the only ruin that you can still climb, which we did. We then went to a cenote. When I heard this was included, I expected just an open pit. Instead this was underground with lots of steps down and included stalagmites and stalactites. A great way to cool off. Had bagged lunch and then back. The early access was great because of the small number of early visitors and the cooler weather. A must see.
Great excursion and great tour guide! Very informative and fun tour of the ruins, and cool experience seeing the cenote. Would recommend to anyone!
Freddy our tour guide was great and regaled us with all sorts of information about the Mayans on our drive to Coba after letting us have a little nap first, given the early wake up call. Once we arrived we climbed on bikes and started a leisure ride into the site, with pedicabs for those who couldn't ride. We had several stops including the pyramid where we got to climb to the top. The views are spectacular but you will definitely be feeling all those steps later in the week. At the end of the Coba portion you get a little free time to explore and take a few pictures before getting in the bus for the cenote.
The cenote was not quite what I was expecting, it is more of an underground cave than the open sinkholes you sometimes see in pictures. That being said it was very refreshing and had several places from the stairs where you could safely jump into the water. Be ready to deal with some wildlife though as there were some bats flying overhead and some small fish in the water.
The food was great and located over some shops which allowed for a quick shopping opportunity after lunch.
This ended up being one of our favorite parts of the trip. We had a fantastic guide and wonderful driver. The group was small enough that it didn't feel crowded at all and we got to take our time exploring. It made it so much more fun than being rushed with a ton of people. I would for sure recommend for people to do this!!
Amazing educational tour! The climb to the top of the ruin is well worth it!! Arturo, our guide was very informative and we were happy there were no "human sacrifices" needed ;-) And a big thanks to Ramon, our driver for getting us around safely.
Going very early was great, as we were descending the main pyramid the crowds were just starting to arrive. the pyramid is the main attraction and you definitely want to climb to the top. I would have preferred to skip the lunch afterwards but for the cost this was a good 1/2 day trip.
We were picked up promptly by our driver, Israel, and taken to a central location for other tours to drop off a couple of other passengers. Here we met our tour guide, Arturo. Our group was very small, five adults and one child. Arturo spoke passionately about the Mayan culture, however, his English was a little difficult to follow. Coba, itself, was well maintained and very interesting. Lunch in the village was delicious!
Liked the small group. Wasn't too happy with getting up so very early only to drive around Cancun picking up people to be regrouped later into the correct tour. It would be better to give the guests the option to take a taxi to the meet location just before the time their specific tour bus leaves.
