Cape Town Helicopter Tour: Indian and Atlantic Oceans

Indian and Atlantic Ocean Flight

Begin your tour at the V&A Waterfront helipad right in central Cape Town. Climb into a helicopter and kick off the adventure with a complete circle around the city’s most recognizable landmark — Table Mountain. Continue over the city to see Cape Town Stadium, one of the hosts of the 2010 World Cup, and down along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

Pass Signal Hill and fly over Camps Bay and Clifton Beach, each with their luxury homes. See the Twelve Apostles mountains from an impressive new angle as you head for Karbonkelberg Mountain.

Soar over historic Hout Bay and then cross the Cape Peninsula to move from one ocean to the other. See if you can tell where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Indian Ocean offshore near False Bay. Watch as the terrain below you changes from sandy beaches to rolling hills to rugged cliffs. Fly over Muizenberg Beach and keep your eye out for shadows in the water — they might just be great white sharks.

Head back toward Cape Town on the other side of Table Mountain for a different view of both the mountain and the landscape around it. Pass over the pretty vineyards of the Constantia Valley before landing once again at the V&A Waterfront helipad.

Thank you for providing us with such a well organised, professional experience which made a major contribution to fantastic memories and an amazing visit to South Africa. Special thanks to our pilot who was so knowledgeable about the area and the video of our flight which was great value and a real bonus, we wouldn't hesitate to take to the sky again on our next visit.

My husband and I took the Two Oceans Tour as a gift to ourselves for our 27th wedding anniversary last week. I was such a wonderful experience. One of the best gifts I've ever received! Cape Town Helicopters is a first class business with new well maintained aircraft. Glad we used them and would again!

A great way to see the Penninsula when only in Cape Town for a couple of days.

Very interesting tour, beautiful scenes. Absolutely loved it. The only issue was that I could not hear the pilot well because of the noise.

I cannot suggest you do this enough. We we fortunate that we did this early afternoon in late August and the weather was fantastic, very warm and little cloud. Going around Cape Town and along the side of Table Island was amazing with great views everywhere, we then circled around the other side of TM and came back to Cape Town after what seemed like 5 minutes but was probably nearer 30 minutes.

Half way through the pilot pointed out some whales which he then circled around so we could take some pictures, this was done at the same height we were flying so there was no effect on the wildlife. If I came back to Cape Town I would certainly do this again.
