Very good introduction to Cape Town. Excellent value for money. Great way to see a beautiful city.
The first thing we do in every city we have a day to do it! Easy way to get a good overview of everything. Did two of the three tours and spent about an hour on Table Mountain. Absolutely worth the money on this one!
Best hop on hop off tour we have ever taken, covers all the sights including the wine lands
The hop-on/hop-off tour is one that everyone should take regardless of how many visits to Capetown. The route covered on the red tour was exactly what I wanted. The narration was clear and precise in describing the attractions for each stop, the earphones worked very well. Part of the upstairs deck is covered with plexiglass to keep out the rain and direct sunlight--much appreciated.
Takes you to many of the places you need to go to in Cape Town. Absolute bargain - get the 48 hour and even if you don't use it the second day - it's still cheap and saved me a few cab journeys when I realised I could take it back to my hotel after Robben Island etc.
Excellent value for money - good commentary and lots of locations to hop off at and see. Very punctual, and helpful staff.
Easy to use and very economic. Included a lot of sightseeing destinations.
We had been to Cape Town before and driven around the city. This time we decided to try the Hop-On Hop-Off buses. We saw so much more from the bus tours. We did all 4 routes completely These buses are the best way to get an overal view of a city.
We bought the 2 day pass and did many of the offered activities. We only did one of the walking tours and, although the guide was good, there were 50 people, which is way too many to hear what the guide was saying. Otherwise, the Hop-On Hop-Off bus was a great value and we would recommend it.
Great way to see the city and surrounding area and good value for money.
Beware of the waiting time at table mountain when we went up it was 2 hours if you had a ticket and 4 hours without one... Needless to say we didn't wait.
We also did the free walking tour of the 6th district which I enjoyed, there was not much to see but the guide painted a great picture... Be prepared to give big tips as this is how they make there money
I booked two days' ticket and wished I had more time to enjoy the stops....... Accidentally jumped on the blue tour when was intending to join the red tour - but was easily rectified with the help of the friendly staff on board and had the added bonus of then enjoying the yellow tour.
The blue tour was enjoyable on day two but was longer than anticipated so only just squeaked in to do the Robben Island tour at 1pm - Plan ahead folks !!

This Hop-On-Hop- Off Tour is about as good as it gets. We have done these in major cities all over the World and this is the best yet.

The Hop on Hop Off Tour in Cape Town was excellent, we only wish we had more time to see more things, but we decided to head straight to the Table Mountain stop and after the weather had cleared and we made it to the top, it left the rest of the day some what short for us to stop at the Wineries. All in all, we felt safe and the commentary was excellent and informative. We took our voucher to the ticket booth and once again Viator was on the money, everthing went like clockwork
We enjoyed the day so much. We took the blue linewhich took us to the township. The hour long tour is something we will never forget. If you are ever in Capetown make sure you add this bus to the itinerary

This is a great way to see the city of Cape Town as you have the ability to spend as much time and enjoy whatever area you're interested in without being rushed. We definitely took advantage of the hop on hop off feature.... even spending an afternoon at Camps Bay beach one day.
Would recommend this 2 day trip to everyone, it's convenient and very inexpensive and covers everything. The bus operators are courteous and very helpful, thank you Viator
We have used this unbeatable tour on several trips to Cape Town. It is an essential ingredient of any visit to this wonderful city and the commentary on the buses is both informative and thoroughly recommended. It is the easiest way to obtain your bearings and if you have a limited time is ideal for visiting all the main attractions i.e. Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Gardens, Hout Bay, Camp Bay etc. Ideally, if you have the time, take advantage of the 2 day ticket which covers both the Red and Blue bus routes and includes a free evening trip to the Lions Head and a trip on the canal. Excellent value for money and a 'must' for any visitor to Cape Town. Book a flexible ticket on line with Viator prior to your trip.
This is a great value, which allowed us to get a great overview of Cape Town. Although I had understood that the 1 day pass only allowed access to either the red OR blue route, in fact we were able to access both. If we'd had time to do a 2-day pass, the blue line also connects with the purple line, which accesses several wineries. And by being able to hop off, we could have lunch where and when we wanted, as well as enjoy a late afternoon glass of wine overlooking the beach.
Cape town is beautiful and the hop on hop off bus tour is a great way to see it. A real value!
