What You Can Expect

Private Tour: Cape of Good Hope Tour from Cape Town

Penguins at Boulders Beach Simons Town

After being picked up at your hotel around 9am, hop in the comfortable car to begin this private 8-hour tour. Get a great view of Table Bay with Robben Island in the distance and make a quick stop at Maiden's Cove to get a glance of the Twelve Apostles and the picture-worthy view of Camps Bay.

At Hout Bay, consider the optional excursion of taking the ferry to Duiker Island to get an up-close and personal view of hundreds of Cape Fur seals. If not, continue on to Chapman's Peak Drive. There is also an alternate route via the Constantia Forest with a stop on top of Boye`s Drive with stunning views of the holiday village of Muizenberg down below. This panoramic tour continues along the False Bay coast to the lovely town of Simonstown where you visit the rare African penguins at Boulders Beach. Other optional visits could be Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens or Groot Constantia Manor House.

Cape of Good Hope is the next stop. Take a 45-minute scenic walk from Cape of Good Hope to Cape Point. Or consider the optional funicular ride to the lighthouses. The return journey takes you to Scarborough with mind blowing waves at Misty Cliffs, a haven for kite surfers. The drive back to the hotel is via the University of Cape Town and Grootte Schuur hospital. The latter known is as the hospital where the first heart transplant was done in 1967 by Christiaan Barnard.

A lovely older couple, Fanny and Ivan, drove us all around the Cape Town area in a van in one day. For a little extra we took a boat trip out to see Seal Island. We had only the one sightseeing day during a business trip to Cape Town and amazingly I feel like we saw everything. It was absolutely gorgeous and our guides were delightful company!!!!

We had Fanny Le Kay for our private tour and we never looked back. She was prompt and punctual, informative and a perfect host to show us the views and stops overs. Thank you for the wonderful experience - even the rains and wind didnt hold us back!

This is a great tour to the most Southwestern tip of Africa, and probably the most popular destination for travelers to the area. We were in a van rather than a bus, and just two of us, so it was much easier to navigate and take our time than being on one of the big buses. Our tour guide was Shireen, a professional and delightful person to spend the day with. There are many stops other than Cape of Good Hope, which is truly a one-of-a-kind spectacular place on earth. We also went to beautiful Boulders Beach to see the penguins. The tour included a stop at Hout Bay to take a short boat ride to see the seals which I would skip if I had a do-over. This is an all-day tour and we had plenty of time to visit some shops and have a leisurely lunch. I highly recommend this tour.

This was an incredible experience! Not only for the great places we visited but also because of our guide Shireen who made this an excursion to the cape we'll never forget ! She really enjoyed this day with us and she did everything she could to make this a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thanks again Shireen, we'll definitely come back to your beautiful country and hope to see you then!

We had a wonderful day tour to Cape Point with Fanny. She is a font of information and narrated our drive with interesting facts. We packed a lot into one day: scenic stops, penguin viewing, walking an outdoor market or two, a lovely lunch at the Black Marlin, and the trip to Cape Point. The views along our drive were also spectacular -- ostriches included!
