Meet your guide and small group of up to 12 people at Plaza Francia de Altamira in time for an 8am departure. After being paired with a suitable bike, saddle up for a leisurely cycling tour around the city’s historic monuments.
Start by exploring the cultural hub of Plaza Los Museos and gliding down Avenue Bolívar, as your guide fills you in on Venezuela’s turbulent political history. Learn about former president Hugo Chavez and the Bolivarian Revolution as you visit his mausoleum, El Cuartel de la Montaña, and hear about Simón Bolívar – ‘El Libertador’ – as you stop for a snack break (included) in Parque El Calvario.
Next, discover a different side to the city as you wind through 23 de Enero, one the biggest and most important favelas in Caracas, then stop for coffee in lively Plaza Venezuela.
After a morning exploring the city, your tour ends back at Plaza Francia de Altamira around 1pm.
