What You Can Expect

Grand Cayman Scuba Diving Experience for Beginners

Grand Cayman Resort Dive Course

Start your Grand Cayman dive experience with pickup from select Seven Mile Beach hotels, and be transferred to the resort where your 2-hour introductory morning session takes place.

Ideal for first-time scuba divers or those who would like to go diving in the Cayman Islands but don’t the time for a full certification course, this scuba experience provides beginners with a taste of the adventurous sport.

Starting with a theory class, you’ll then move to a swimming pool for a water session so that you can get used to your gear. All scuba equipment is included, and with expert instruction from highly trained and certified guides, you’ll quickly learn to wipe your mask, breathe through your regulator and swim comfortably with the oxygen tank on your back.

After an approximate 3.5-hour break, you can purchase lunch at the resort or hang out on the beach. Then meet back up in the afternoon for your 2-hour open-water dive. Board a custom-built motorboat with a professional crew, who ensure your safety at all times.

You’ll head out to a dive site chosen by your dive guide for its tranquil waters and high visibility. When you’re ready, slip under the water and marvel at an incredible array of marine life, including tropical fish, sea turtles, stingrays, manta rays, eels and even nurse sharks.

After this must-do experience, you’re taken back to shore with drop-off at selected hotels.

Please note: A confidential medical form must be filled out prior to enrollment, and a physician's release may be required. See more details under the ‘Important Info’ tab.

Our instructor, Lucy, from Red Sail Sports was wonderful. She was very professional and personable. The entire crew made sure that safety was #1 and everyone was comfortable.
We did have difficulty obtaining the required medical form prior to our stay. I have since learned that you need to contact Red Sail Sports and not your resort/hotel to obtain the required forms.
Definately worth it! We saw incredible fish, turtles, and a nurse shark! fun day!
