What You Can Expect

Grand Cayman Shore Excursion: West Bay Bike Tour

Grand Cayman Shore Excursion: West Bay Bike Tour

Start your shore excursion with pickup at the George Town cruise terminal and be transferred to the northwestern tip of Grand Cayman where you’ll meet your guide at a waterfront eatery. Then hop on your provided bicycle, snap on your helmet and take off on a 9.5-mile loop around West Bay, just north of Seven Mile Beach.

You’ll take back roads and beach trails—free of traffic and suitable for all skill levels—at a leisurely pace. Along the way, your insider guide shares anecdotes about the Cayman Islands, introduces you to locals and tells you a bit about the Caymans’ fishing heritage.

Pedal through Barker’s National Park and soak up views of Boatswain Bay; pass by the Cayman Turtle Farm and Cayman Motor Museum; search for wildlife such as iguanas and brown pelicans; and send a ‘postcard from Hell’ at a unique post office located near fascinating limestone formations.

Your guide stops at four popular beachfront restaurants and bars—such as Alfresco Restaurant and Cobalt Coast—where you can take a break (food and drinks are at your own expense). At the end of your 3-hour bike tour of Grand Cayman, you’re transferred back to the port.

My family group of 8 chose this tour so we could get some exercise and to see parts of the island not normally seen by tourists. Meeting Richard at port was easy, bikes were easy to ride and hearing Richard's history of the area was fascinating. The turnaround stop at the park was beautiful and shady with more history and island info provided by Richard. The trip description is a bit misleading in that the ride, while being mostly flat, has some fairly steep hills and if you take the tour in the summer, it's going to be hot in the sun! Challenging for young, old and out of shape folks but fun! Richard was very solicitous of our group's needs and took measures to make sure we were all ok and made it back to the ship on time.

west bay bike tour was the highlight of my trip. We were on a cruise and this was the best part of our vacation. Edgar was our tour guide and he showed us the island in a way that no other tour could. My husband is 78 and not used to riding a bike but had no trouble keeping up with the group. The bikes were very comfortable and easy to handle. What a great time. Made us all want to come back to Grand Cayman. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Grand Cayman

This tour was MORE than I could have hoped for. The Staff of Edgar and Richard make this bike ride like a family affair. We had a group of 10 and the ride through Grand Cayman went so smooth. We can wait until our next trip back to Grand Cayman and our next bike trip

Great Island. Bikes could be in a better shape. Guides were great. Would be good if we had a good picknick spot somewhere as the scenery is stunning. Also the price is very heavy if you think the JetSki costed the same for 3h we got much much more for the jet ski... so either better the product or lower the price.
