What You Can Expect

Grand Cayman West Bay Tour by Land Rover

Grand Cayman West Bay Tour by Land Rover

Climb aboard an open-air Land Rover for your 4x4 tour of western Grand Cayman, starting with hotel pickup in George Town. En route to West Bay, you’ll motor through the 100-acre (40-hectare) nature preserve of Barker’s National Park. Listen to your guide’s narration as you cover a stretch of white sand bordered on one side by thick mangroves and by the shimmering Caribbean Sea on the other.

Upon reaching the small town of Hell, disembark to snap photos of the famed limestone formations and delight in sending a postcard stamped with the curious town name.

Back in your vehicle, continue on to the Tortuga Rum Cake Factory for a tasty Caribbean treat. Observe rum cakes being baked and glazed by hand with oak-barrel-aged Tortuga Gold Rum, then sample some rum cake with unique flavors including Blue Mountain coffee, coconut and key lime.

Next up is a sea turtle research and conservation center: Cayman Turtle Farm. Learn how turtle meat once provided income and led to the development of the Cayman Islands in the 17th and 18th centuries. Marvel at 500-lb (226-kg) green sea turtles at Green’s Breeding Pond and see the tiny baby turtles.

Finish your 3.5-hour tour with transport back to your hotel.
