With a guide, your tour starts with the short trip to the Cayman Turtle Farm in West Bay; along the way, you can admire some of the sights of Grand Cayman's Seven Mile Beach area.
When you arrive, your first encounter at the park is with the largest turtles, some of which weigh more than 600 pounds (272 kg). Then follow your guide to different tanks to see and learn about the smaller green turtles. Photo ops taken by onsite photographers are available (own expense). In addition to the turtles, the park is home to more sea creatures such as sharks and other fish.
Then leave the Turtle Farm for the second part of your tour—Stingray City. After a 15-minute bus ride, you'll board a boat for the 20-minute journey to the site, where you'll be given instructions on safety and proper behavior when you're in the water near the stingrays. Then hop in with provided snorkeling gear and flotation device, and follow your guide to the population of southern stingrays. Underwater pictures are available, if you wish.
When your time is up, you'll be shuttled back to George Town in time to see a few other attractions and enjoy shopping, if you wish.
