A very thorough tour given by our charismatic and knowledgeable guide Tim Akers. He knew all the familiar and not so familiar spots to take us. We had a wonderful time on this tour. Would definitely recommend it.

3 star rating: Worth doing December 2017

We saw a lot and I'm sure if we had had more time, would have seen even more. Very little time in Hell and the turtle farm but not the fault of the tour agency. I'd book wit them again if I had more time to take a longer tour.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better January 2018

Not amazing, but nice tour. The turtle habitat was probably the highlight. Our tour guide was super nice and seemed to know or be related to much of the island. We deducted an additional two stars due to a logistical issue:

Our cruise ship had to port in a different part of the island due to high seas. There was some understandable chaos as a result, but the tour operator did pick us up from that location. Where it went sour was when we finished our tour around noonish - the tour operator refused to take us back to the ship unless we wanted to wait until 330PM with an on-ship deadline of 4PM when their other tours were coming back and they would take us together. Not wanting to wait around that long, we were encouraged to take a public bus. Mind you, the port was maybe a 10 mile round trip for them.

The 2.50 per person for the bus was not a big deal. Unfortunately our driver appeared to get pulled over by a police officer on the way and parked by the side of the road, got out, and had a VERY heated exchange with the officer with all of us on the bus left to wonder what was going on. Very nerve-wracking.

We survived and certainly have a story to tell. But our review grade reflects what we can only describe as lack of proper customer consideration on the part of the tour operator.

The only thing about this tour that was good was the Turtle Farm. Our driver was friendly, and the van was nice, but the tour was silly. I was so disappointed that I booked this tour because I told my kids we would be going to the beach, but we only visit the beach. We stopped at a small little crafts store that is next to Seven Mile beach and we got to see it. Not even step on the sand. We were able to get out and take photos. The Governor's house is literally a stop...the van stops on the side of the road and you see the gate and the Governor's residence. That's it. Same with the 100 year old house, which is owned by someone and when we went had up their Christmas decorations and everything. Very disappointing. The stop at Hell was interesting if you are into a lava rock formation you get to look at. Then there is a cheesy gift shop where the owner wears devil ears and a cape. There is even a large cut out of him to take your picture with faded and extra cheesy.

The Turtle farm was the saving grace of this tour. It was nice and the driver is your tour guide and he was knowledgeable and nice he helped me pick up a turtle to hold. I think the explanation for this tour needs to be better described. My son loved being able to get in with the turtles and pick them up.

It is definitely not worth the money. I will never book my own excursion again due to this tour. I would like to say that the tour company was very nice and accommodating. We missed our departure by about 10 minutes and they put us on another tour without a fuss. It wasn't the tour company, the van, or the driver/guide. It was that the tour was in my opinion mis-represented and just not what you think it is going to be.

When we arrived at the pier, there was no representative to greet us. We went to the Visitor Information Center, after racing around try to find your representative, and they couldn't help us because we had no telephone number at which they could reach you. As a result, we never travelled with you and wonder why you would ask us to rate our experience with you, since it never happened!! Not happy at all!!
