Get a great introduction to Bangkok's history and the city’s most magnificent places of worship with this morning temple tour. While Thailand is home to more than 31,000 temples (wats), many of the most important and eye-popping are located in the capital of Bangkok.
After morning pickup at your Bangkok hotel in an air-conditioned minivan, begin with a visit to Wat Traimit, also known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha. Pay tribute to the temple’s centerpiece, a solid gold statue discovered hidden under layers of plaster casing in the 1950s. Weighing in at 5.5 tons and measuring nearly 10 feet (3 meters) tall, it's the largest gold seated Buddha statue in the world and a marvelous example of 14th-century Sukhothai art.
Continue on to Wat Pho, one of Bangkok’s oldest and most famous temples, located near the city's Grand Palace complex. Commonly referred to as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, its main chapel houses a larger-than-life Buddha measuring 151 feet (46 meters) long, culminating in giant feet decorated with symbolic mother-of-pearl inlays.
Finally, travel to the city’s Dusit district to visit Wat Benchamabophit, a beautifully ornate monastery built of Italian Carrara marble. Admire the red-and-gold tiered roof typical of Bangkok’s royal temples and a Sukhothai Buddha statue that sits atop the remains of Thai King Chulalongkorn, who commissioned the temple in 1899.
Learn about each temple’s history and its place in Bangkok culture from your knowledgeable guide. The half-day tour concludes with drop-off back at your hotel midday.

Mr AJ was our guide and he provided a very informed tour of the most beautiful temples. There was so much to see and admire, I wish this was a full day tour to fully appreciate the intricate skill of the designs of the temples and take a whole lot more photos. I would definitely consider doing this tour again

So many beautiful temples to see. Definitely a great way to see the most popular ones. Tour guide was very informative even took my group to see another temple since we had already saw one the day before on our own that was listed .

Very disappointing, there was no actual city tour it was just driving from one temple to the next temple. If we had wanted to do so many temples and that's all we would of booked a temple tour. There was no stops at any city monuments or sites.
