Listen to stories from the boat captain throughout the tour, as you pass some of Charleston’s historic sites. Pass the Essex-class USS Yorktown, a ‘fighting lady’ aircraft carrier from the Second World War that earned eleven battle stars in her dramatic military career.

Take in Fort Moultrie and Fort Johnson, a pair of forts that housed Confederate and Union soldiers, and see St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, which survived Revolutionary and Civil War fighting by painting its steeple black. Pass elegant antebellum homes on the Battery, and navigate beneath the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, a modern span that links downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. Drinks are available for purchase onboard throughout the trip, which concludes with drop-off at the Charleston Maritime Center.

Well managed, clean, insightful. History of the tour is enlightening. The sailing trip is worth the ride even if you are not interested in the history of the city and it’s relationship with the sea. Highly recommend.

Loved the experience, the only downside was the parking situation, which extremely inconvenient. If that was fixed it would be great. Hopefully when the museum opens that will be fixed.

Rain storm canceled our cruise. We were forced to stand out in the rain until someone could make a decision about cancellation. I will never book this again.

We booked this cruise understanding there were no cancelations except in the case of bad weather .And we were in the area for five days and the weather was hard to predict When we recieved our tickets we learned that you could not park at the marina but had to park at the Aquarium in Charleston and walk The morning of our cruise the weather reports showed thunderstorms that that afternoon we were to cruise And for that reason I clicked on the "CONTACT TOUR OPERATOR " tab on the Viator booking site and asked if they would be going out today? They never replied . I find Viator very easy to do business with and as far as I am concerned if this company is doing business with Viator they should be responsive thru the booking process On the drive over we were driving thru torrential rain so much rain that cars were being swamped by deep water on the road.We stopped pulled up weather radar and we felt there was no way we were going out on the water yesterday.Had the operator contacted us and told us they were going out I could not complain but we decided we were not particularly if we had to walk to the Marina from a remote site due the inadequate parking situation where the tour departs from I never heard from them till I called thae day after and to be honest I now know why they don't allow cancelations. I truly find it hard to believe they went out under the circumstances we experienced. I write this out out principle and to warn others its not about the money for me it is about they operate They will go out or they wont go out in bad weather but you are going to pay for it anyway Beware

Charleston Harbor Tour
Patty_D
, Aug 2022
Because of rain, thunder and lightening we had to head downstairs undercover. Because of that we were not able to hear the commentary. Very disappointed overall. Of course this had nothing to do with the tour itself it was due to weather. Regardless, I’m not sure if I would recommend this tour.
