Evans did a great job covering the city, sights and history. My teenage daughter and I both enjoyed it immensely and would highly recommend it to others.
Great tour. Extremely insightful and informative. Steve was very knowledgeable of the city and it history. Would highly recommend both him and the tour.
Spent a wonderful 2.5 hours with our tour guide Evans. He is a native Charlestonian and really knew his facts. This tour is the best way to get to know Charleston up close and personal. Evans had many local stories to share about the vast history of Charleston. A great time, indeed!
It was freezing cold at 10:30, so we asked to change to the 2pm tour. Amy was our guide. She was very knowledgeable about the architecture, the gardens, and the history of Charleston. I loved her old southern accent when she quoted a prominent Charleston lady. We could have just walked the streets of Charleston, however, with this tour, we got history and some insight on places to revisit. Thanks!
Our guide Steve was AWESOME!. He is a native and knows all the ins and outs of the city. We met some of his friends on the tour and learned so much from him that provides the history and charm of this wonderful city. If you want to know about the importance of Charleston to our country, this is the tour to take! Ask for Steve!
Amy was so knowledgeable about the history of Charlestown and each building we walked past. Wear good walking shoes as this is a fast paced tour.
Amy has PASSION with her job.....Excellent job and kept our group interested and actively involved.... Amy even brought her own photo album to show illustrations.... Highly impressed and would recommend to anyone!!!!Loved her RED coat......
Amy was fantastic! Highly recommend this personal, entertaining walking tour.
Great guide. I've been on a walking tour once before in Charleston and this covered items I hadn't previously learned about.
Very knowledgeable tour guide. Added 30 minutes at the end to highlight additional landmarks.
We very much enjoyed our walking tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the old city and had brought along beautiful photos of the gardens we couldn't see behind these houses. She had interesting stories to tell and made the old city come to life. Very good value!
Amy was an incredibly great and very informative tour guide. We would recommend this to anyone coming to Charleston
Fabulous walking tour with our guide Amy! Imagine 5 women all shooting questions at Amy ... she answered every one with in-depth knowledge and often a spicy bit of history that you don't find in text books. It was informative and great fun! Would recommend this walking tour to anyone who wants to learn some past and social history of Charleston.
Mimi was our guide and she wonderful. She moved the tour along at a comfortable pace and provided lots of insight into old time Charleston. She provided us with a great overview of this beautiful city
So much knowledge and so much to see and talk about in 2 hours. No wonder we ran over! Suggest you book eatlyfirst day sold out so that you do this tour first thing in City, so you know how to plan rest of trip! Fabulous Guinea!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided us with plenty of information. Really helped understand the history. She also provided suggestions on other things to see and do. Excellent experience.
We had a tour with Amy - guide. She was great! Very knowledgable and a great attitude. She went out of her way to get as much as possible included for us!
Excellent tour guide AMY that was very knowledgeable and excited to tell the cities history.
My girlfriend and I embarked on this tour and chose the morning option. It was a small group- two other families and our guide was quite jovial and seemed to have great camaraderie with all the other charioteers and market sellers around town. It was a plus to have a Charleston native like him giving us a tour because we did get in on a little bit of the scandalous gossip around town in its glorious and historic past- note, we did spend a great deal walking around learning about houses of the rich and famous.
Favourite parts? He took us inside St. Michael's historic church, showed us the city's old limits and took us by the seaface at Battery Park. Moreover, we learnt a great deal about the city's colonial and trade history that is still etched in its beautiful vistas. Will definitely recommend this tour a friend!
Amy is a wonderful guide with lots of information-would recommend and don't forget your water!!
Wonderful walk - very educational - also very hot in Charleston in July - but still a super tour. Suggest you add a short stop at Rainbow Row.
Not enough history- wanted to go into the homes- other tours went into the theater- we did not
