Departing from East Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, follow your guide on an easy ride through Charlotte’s sprawling parks, gardens and historic neighborhoods. Throughout your tour, your guide will provide interesting commentary about Charlotte’s food traditions, history and culture.

In Uptown, pass modern skyscrapers before stopping at a park across from the new Wells Fargo Cultural Campus. Here, indulge in fresh, warm cornbread with honey butter while taking in views of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Mint Museum and Gantt Center.

Heading to South End, your guide will teach you about Charlotte’s first industrial district: this area was recently named the third-best ‘comeback’ neighborhood of the Southeast. After taking in the sights here, stop at nearby Latta Park, the city’s most historically significant outdoor space.

Pop into Price’s Chicken Coop, a legendary local establishment, to taste delicious fried chicken wings. Then, continue cycling down tree-lined streets and learn the history of Dilworth, Charlotte’s first suburban neighborhoods. Marvel at the large homes with exceptionally beautiful yards, some dating back to the early 1900s. Your final two destinations will be a surprise!

Extended 4-Hour Tour
You'll get an insider’s look at nine of Charlotte’s history-soaked streetcar suburbs on the extended 4-hour tour. This tour follows the same itinerary as the 3-hour tour, but after Dilworth, you’ll continue to fun and casual neighborhoods including Plaza Midwood, Charlotte’s most diverse and pedestrian-friendly neighborhood. You’ll hear the laughter, music and conversation pouring out of the numerous restaurants and shops.

Stop at Charlotte’s most famous dive to dig into a local favorite: fried pickles! Around the corner is NODA, the must-see budding arts district with a lively nightlife, where you'll stop at the popular 24-hour French bakery for some delectable treats.

Your Charlotte food tour ends at the original departure point.
