Tour Guide Rick, gave me a personal tour of Civil War History in Charlottesville, VA. Since I was the only person who signed up for the tour on Sunday afternoon, not many companies would have done that. Rick came to the Charlottesville Amtrak Station to pick me up, then dropped me off at a favorite local diner, within walking distance of Amtrak, when the tour was over. I got to see the spot where slaves were bought and sold, and the location of a famous battlefield, where a shopping center now stands. In the graveyard, I learned about people who are buried there, their lives, and connection to Charlottesville. Rick is very knowledgeable about Civil War History. This tour is appropriate for both adults and children. Anyone who loves history will enjoy this tour!
