Pleasant enough tour

More time at Green Gables with fewer stops along the way would have improved our experience. John was very kind to my son, thank you.
My daughter and I were expecting a tour of more sites of Anne of Green Gable‘s. This tour is not much about the books but about the island and it’s food and climate and local People. The tour guide John and bus driver Pierre were great and helped give us lots of info on the island. But for tourist coming to the island to spend more time at the historic sites of the author this would not be the right tour.
The 4 hour tour which left Charlottetown was very enjoyable. You get a chance to see different parts of the Island and as well as spending time at the Anne of Green Gables Centre you stop at Rustico and New Glasgow. The downside was our transport, there were 13 people on the trip in a mini bus which held 25, unfortunately between the air condition unit and the mobile ramp which was loosley secured at the back inside of the bus, the noise coming from it meant you could not hear the driver;s commentary. i did ask if it was possiblew to fix it more securely so it did not make so much noise, but apparently you couldn't.
Great tour. We saw some beautiful sights and because it was in the off season we didn't have major crowds to deal with. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and showed us places I would have never known about otherwise.
This tour gave us the opportunity to see some of the beautiful Prince Edward Island landscape. The Green Gables property is not much to get excited about unless you are an avid fan. Our main complaint is that we started the tour about 20 minutes late waiting for a fellow sightseer to arrive and then sat at the Green Gables property for 30 minutes waiting for someone who did not come back to the bus on time. This made not only us, but others on the tour, feel like we didn't get to see as much as promised.
Really liked PEI as cruise ship port! Charlottetown is charming. We had a morning to explore the town then took tour into country. This tour took us to Rustico, the National Park and to the site of Anne of Green Gables House. We stopped at a garden and preserve maker on way back. The guide Pierre was knowledgeable and the tour allowed us to see the countryside as well as city. We want to return to PEI!
If you wish a light short tour for a half day, this one is ok for you. Yet if you wish to take more time and enjoy the nature or the staying at Green Gables including the trails, this is not recommended. Half of the time was on the bus with 52 people and a very nice but talkative tour guide sitting at the front mumbling all the history of the Island. I guessed I just expected too much so I was very disappointed about this tour. I feel wasting my time here. But those old gentlemen and ladies in the bus seemed enjoy a lot.
