Taste food from around the world on this 4-hour cycling tour of Chicago. Follow your biking guide through the Chicago streets, stopping for views of Chicago’s famous architecture as well as bites like Mexican tortas, French sweets, and Polish pierogis.
At your chosen departure time — choose between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. — make your way to the Streeterville neighborhood near Navy Pier to meet your guide and group. Get set up with your helmet and bike, then pedal off through the River North neighborhood, across the Chicago River, and over to Fulton Market, which is packed with hip restaurants and tech companies.
Stop to refuel by tasting a giant Mexican torta and wash it down with a beer at a local brewpub run by one of Chicago’s many celebrity chefs. Pedal past Google’s headquarters and take in some vibrant street murals on the way to Ukranian Village where you can taste what are arguably the world’s best pierogis. Back on your bike, take in some historic 19th-century mansions en route to the hip neighborhood of Wicker Park. Head on over to the 606 trail, a bike path that follows a disused El line, and then stop at a pub in Bucktown to sample the ‘Chicago handshake,’ made with a local liqueur called Malort. In Lincoln Park, munch on a sweet French treat before cycling down the Lakefront Trail to end up back where you started.
Your tour concludes just south of Navy pier.
