What You Can Expect

Chicago Grand Tour and Admission to 360 Chicago (formerly John Hancock Observatory)

Chicago Grand Tour and Hancock Observatory

After meeting the group at the Palmer House Hilton hotel, get comfortable aboard your coach for a grand tour of the Windy City, culminating in a visit to 360 Chicago (John Hancock Observatory).

Listen to onboard commentary as you motor through the South Side via Grant Park, where your guide points out the open-air stadium of Soldier Field and the sky dome of Adler Planetarium. Pass by Shedd Aquarium, view the Field Museum of Natural History, travel through the residential area of South Commons and get a glimpse of President Obama's old neighborhood.

Heading to Chicago’s North Side, view the Picasso sculpture in the open-air courtyard of the Richard J Daley Center. Driving across the Chicago River, you’ll see Wrigley Field and the Wrigley Building, a skyscraper on the Magnificent Mile near the massive shopping complex at Water Tower Place.

On arrival at the Hancock Center, disembark your coach to ascend one of the tallest buildings in the US. You hop on a 39-second elevator ride to the 94th floor at 360 Chicago, an open-air observation deck formerly called the John Hancock Observatory. From 1,000 feet (305 meters) above the Magnificent Mile, you can see the states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin on a clear day!

After you soak up the postcard views, your 4-hour tour ends with hotel drop-off back to the original departure point.

We had a very efficient tour guide who could crack jokes, Anton is his name. He could make your day special. We went to all amazing city views and Anton, our guide, let us get off to take pictures of Barrack Obama's house and let us have a taste of the famous hot dog stand without ketchup.

My tour went well however, due to the time constraints I was unable to purchase the Chicago Photo Frame from the gift shop at the Palmer House.
Needless to say, I have a sour opinion of the gift shop staff members

I have taken this tour before and each time I learn something new. This time it came with Chicago 360 tickets.
The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable and accommodating. Unfortunately, there was too many clouds to have a view from the city, but that's okay. When you go to the Cathedral, go to the front door and enter. It's well worth seeing the architecture which is SUPERB.
If it's overcast and cloudy, skip going to the Chicago 360 and go another day. The ticket is good for one year and we went the next day when it was nice and sunny with beautiful views!!

This is perfect for first time visitors to Chicago our guide was knowledgeable. We get a general overview of the city and it's history. We got to go to all the neighborhoods and they gave us about 10-15 minutes to take pictures in popular tourist spots. Ended by going to the John Hancock Observatory to see the amazing views of Chicago!

The Tour guide was very knowledgeable and the bus driver was excellent at navigating some of the narrow streets of Chicago. Perhaps, a bus similar to the Chicago Trolley bus may be better for those people who want to take photographs. Despite this fact, I feel I have a better understanding of the geography of Chicago due to the excellent tour guide.
