Best tour ever and I am a Chicago resident for 20 years. Margaret is the best tour guide as well.
Margaret was a wonderful guide and her city pride was contagious. I have lived in and around Chicago for 45 years and could not believe all that I learned on this tour. We were a small group, two Chicagoans and three visitors and she made everyone very comfortable. The Pedway is really another neighborhood with a history and culture of its own. Learned how to take the Blue Line and follow the Pedway to the Cultural Center without having to surface. I'm so ready for the winter concerts!
Very interesting, didn't know places like that existed in Chicago.
Would recommend this.
This tour was interesting and introduced me to a part of Chicago I knew nothing about. I learned a lot of fun facts from our fabulous tour guide.
We had been to Chicago on 3 previous occasions and wasn't aware of the pedway, we came across the pedway tour while looking for things to do. It was really enjoyable and we would highly recommend it.
Margaret was very knowledgeable and extremely entertaining! Would definitely recommend to others.
Margaret is a fabulous ambassador for the city of Chicago!
This was both fun and informative... and a good activity for a pretty cold day.
Experience always enjoyable. We even made a return trip bringing friends along to share in the fun and history. Well done!
We are Chicagoans, and we really enjoyed getting to know about the Pedway. Margaret was a great guide.
Best tour ever. Pace was great. Learnt about the hidden secrets of Chicago I didn't get on any other tour. The stained glass exhibit blew my mind and the history Margaret had about the evolution of the districts, buildings etc was great. This is a must do when you come to Chicago
Very informative and the guide was very knowledgable about the city. Great tour.
My family and I enjoyed the tour of the Chicago Pedway. We were surprised that this underground world existed having visited Chicago for years. This was a perfect tour for a chilly spring day. We were greeted by Margaret who really made the tour worthwhile for us. Her knowledge of the architectural history of Chicago and the enthusiasm she displayed really made for an enjoyable and educational experience. We have already recommended this tour to friends of ours.
Our guide made the tour what it was. Great personality mixed with tidbits of information about Segway .
My Mom and I selected this tour as it was a particularly cold day. I was very pleased to be able to play tourist for a morning inside. Though we could have kept walking for a few hours more you can't beat the price. Our guide Margaret made the tour! She was welcoming, friendly and knows her Chicago history. Along the way she pointed out building which also offered tours which were not associated with the tour company. At the end of our tour she was able to offer suggestions for lunch and recommend other buildings to visit. Margaret represented Chicago very well. Sign up was easy and the meeting place easy to find.
Our tour guide was very informative and delightful. My daughter and I enjoyed it very much. Recommended it to all my friends.
It was fantastic! Loved Margaret out tour guide. I had guests in town for my son's wedding so not only did I enjoy the tour as a Chicago resident but my guests thought it was so unique. I liked it so much I sent three of my young adult nephews and their girlfriends the next day and they also loved it!
This was a great experience for our whole family. Margaret was friendly, informative, and very entertaining. It was especially timely to take this tour when it was bitterly cold outside--we learned some great ways to get around the city while avoiding the wind and weather. We appreciated learning more about this little-known aspect of the city, as well as her personal recommendations for other ways to have a great Chicago experience.
The tour was great. Margaret was funny and informative. The Chicago Pedway is a very interesting thing and I am glad I took the tour.
Our guide was entertaining, enthusiastic and informative. Saw a new side of the city I thought I knew.
If you're interested to know how Chicago Pedway works, this is a tour for you! The guide (Margaret) was great, made a lot of jokes, but at the same time seemed to really know what she was talking about. I've read the Lonely Planet guide a few days ago and she'd properly mentioned some of the information I've read there -- and much more! Besides, the price (US$20) was good too, for all that info you get on the 90-minutes tour.
I've read some people complaining about going on Saturday because the Pedway itself was partially closed, but I've gone on a Thursday and everything was up and running fine.
Had no clue about this interesting part of Chicago. Very interesting.
This was a fantastic Tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and sociable. She also had a sense of humor. My husband and I have been on many Chicago tours and this was very different. It was a smaller group, 8 people, and that made it nice as well. I would do this again since the guide told us she makes changes to the tour to see different aspects of the pedway. Great idea!
I found the Pedway very interesting. My husband and actually used it the next day. The tour guide had great information and was a fantastic story teller.
