Great Guide, Food, and Tour
Jason_D, Oct 2018
Great tour. Hit a good variety of spots and food. Deep dish pizza, Chicago Dog, Brownie, Cheeseburger (Bill Goat Tavern), Fannie May Candy, Chicago Popcorn.Loved the Chicago Dog, plus we ate in the bar next door - so I could get a beer with it.Cheeseburger at Billy Goat Tavern was ehh (definitely add ketchup/mustard), but glad to go there for the history and uniqueness (also could get a beer there). Our guide Elizabeth was great. Learned about various Chicago neighborhoods as well.Fun few hours.
Great tour!

if you want Chicago food, this is it. started with Pizanos pizza. deep dish and thin, with stories to match. I love tours with good stories to match, loved all the stories including the birth of this food tour from the owner. More cup cakes was a perfect tiny portion, the cupcake was visually pleasing as well as to eat. in between locations there is walking and history of Chicago, another great feature of this tour. loved that you got a whole Chicago style dog with option and time to purchase a brew. and thank goodness it was half a burger at Billy goats, another great story... and finishing with Fannie. wonderful tour, our out of town friends loved it. I would definitely recommend.

One of the best experiences on this Chicago visit! Truly a great way to get introduced to the city. Not only do you get a great food tour, eating at some of the best local joints but you also get a mini history lesson on the tour. Our tour guide Elizabeth, was SUPER!! She was not only engaging but very well informed on the history of the city. She made the tour fun and made the whole group feel at ease and comfortable with each other. The food was great, and the selection of locations to eat at were wonderful. The amount of food was more than enough, and walking to each spot helped work the food down so you were ready to eat again at the next spot.

This is a great tour, especially for new comers to Chicago. It gave a lot of history and took us to iconic places. I would not necessarily rave about all the food, so if your a true foodie, you might be disappointed. Still, it was great to see these famous places that Chicago is known for and our tour guide was awesome and full of knowledge and advice!
The tour guide was the worst I have...
David H, Dec 2016
The tour guide was the worst I have had in about 20 culinary tours across the US and Europe. Sorry... she was a nice girl but totally introverted and frankly terrible at this job. Tour guides have to be engaging, usually funny, and likeable. 3 qualities we did not get in our guide. Frankly, if you get a different guide the tour is probably quite good. The food was typical Chicago fair hot dog, deep dish, cupcake, etc. If there wasn't food to eat we probably would have just wandered off and enjoyed the city on our own. Nothing personal, seemed like a nice girl. Not a good choice for a tour guide.
