What To Expect

Meet your guide in the heart of the adjacent Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods, and set off on a 1-mile (1.6-km) walk to several beer establishments in the area. You’ll taste lagers and porters, many of which are Midwestern craft brews. In total, your beer tastings add up to the approximate equivalent of four beers.

Explore Beer Baron Row, inhabited by German beer barons during the late 1800s. Admire the fine architecture and hear anecdotes about Chicago’s immigration and brewery history. You’ll visit a 19th-century bar with an impressive beer list; pair your samplers with a quintessential Chicago-style hot dog, prepared by a family-owned restaurant in operation for more than half a century.

Pop into a bar you may recognize as 'Molly's' on the TV show Chicago Fire; visit a venue that combines craft beer with old-school video games; and check out an innovative space that features a butcher shop, restaurant and bar.

The 3-hour tour ends in Wicker Park, where you can continue to your evening in Chicago on your own.

Good beer! This is the one you want to book if you are a fan of Chicago Fire as it starts at Molly's. Only downside to this tour is it is a little distance from the city of Chicago so you need transportation to get there. You do get a lot of beer on this tour, and a Chicago style dog to help wash it down. You are not rushed. Everyone was having a good time so this tour actually went over the 3 hours. Can't remember the tour guide's name but he was fantastic telling stories about each location, conversing with the guests on a personal level, and allowing everyone to have fun.

Are tour guide Glenn knew a lot about the different kinds of beer we tasted, how each brewery got started, and history of the area we toured. Our group was small so we got to go to our own pace. Glenn was very helpful at the end and help us all find places to go for dinner. Best tour I've taken!

I loved that our tour guide not only talked to us about the beers history but also the history of the area that we did our tour in. Glen knew a lot about the different kinds of beer we tasted and also how each brewery got started. We had a small group so we got to ask lots of questions and go at our own pace. When we were done Glen helped us figure out where to go next to continue having a great evening. Our group got along so well that we all decided to go out together for dinner. Best tour I have taken by far and would definitely do it again when I come back to Chicago.
